Product Description

Natural composters consume large quantities of organic matter, digest it, extract its nutrients, and expel their waste in the form of worm castings, a type of nutrient-rich waste. They swallow a great deal of organic material and digest it.

It is possible for composting worms to consume their body weight per day if they are given ideal conditions. Their rapid reproduction makes them very tolerant of fluctuations in growing conditions while also reproducing rapidly.

The size and weight of the items are close approximations and will vary with their growth stages. It is common for worm shipments to be delayed due to extreme temperatures between the summer and winter months. Whenever it is safe to ship, we will do so. Our customer service department will reship you an order without charge if your order doesn't contain live worms. All you need to do is upload a photo we will reship you a new order.

If you release your plant outdoors, do not release it in direct sunlight. It is best to release it early in the morning or after sunset. Care instructions are included

You can scatter the pellets on a target area that has been lightly watered. Approximately 1,000 worms - roughly one pound - should be enough for areas of up to 250 square feet. Compost piles should use 100 to 150 worms per square foot.

What is the best way to raise those worms?

It's generally not a good idea to add composting worms directly to the garden, as they are not actually soil worms and will more than likely leave the area or die if they cannot find an adequate amount of organic material to decompose.

Depending on the package, there may be more than one. It was delivered in a timely manner and I did not find that many dead worms inside the package.
