This, in my opinion, should be thrown away. Save your money because it will blow over in the slightest breeze, causing damage or even harming someone if not caught in time!

The stand is quite sturdy, and it has so far withstood the test of time. My issue is that my umbrella pole measures 1. This base does not fit it properly as described, and it is 5" tall. The base's inserts do not, at least not straight up, hold this dimension. This causes the umbrella to stand up at an angle, so I'll have to purchase new inserts or come up with another solution.
This item has a positive impact on me. It has a score of 1 out of 10. The 5" pole adapter at the bottom of the stand and the adapter at the top of the stand both stay in place, resulting in a very stable and upright pole that does not require tightening. The stand's weight ensures sturdiness, but it makes maneuvering difficult. Amazon sent me an opened box that was returned to me as "New" despite the fact that it was in poor condition. There were four scratches on the top of the stand, so double-check that it's a brand-new item from Amazon with no issues.
Beware of the buyer! I really liked the base, despite the fact that it was quite small. The top and center of the first base I received had a white globby mess on it, possibly due to styrofoam sticking to it. When I requested a replacement, I was given a smaller glob with no knob or screws. I was looking forward to it and finishing my patio today, so it was a huge disappointment.
It didn't even last a weekend when I used it for a standard-sized umbrella. The pole had broken away from the base - The weld had simply failed. It wasn't particularly windy; in fact, it was quite the opposite. It's just ordinary circumstances. The construction quality is very poor. They did send me a new one, so I'm hoping the second one will last as long as the first, but I'm not holding my breath.
This base is used as a table base. It can hold a 10 ft. pole with ease. a canopy - even if the umbrella is open on a windy day.
We purchased a replacement and were charged once more.
I'm very impressed with how durable and sturdy this umbrella stand is, especially considering how windy it can get on some days!.
It's a good product, and it's exactly what I was looking for.
