Two holes on each side of the top let me fill the top with water through a hose. An umbrella portion had directions as well as the upright and bolts bolted to the X frame on the bottom. It is connected to the upright by an umbrella. Each piece of the umbrella post is secured by a screw, which is tightened to keep them together.

In other words, they screw you over here. We showed you nice pictures of our umbrella, and there is a base on all of them. You compare the price of the umbrella with Costco and find that it's cheaper. It looks like a nice umbrella, but once you get it you discover that a base is not included. It won't let you return it because it's not small, and you can't lift it, and the packing is torn. By the time you've reached this point in the review, you already know that you're screwed the same way The umbrella and base you paid too much for quickly become more cost effective after you discover that the umbrella from Costco is better than the one from the big-box store. I hate it! The windshield is sometimes a problem. There may be a problem with the bug.
Why, if you recommend the use of sand as ballast, did you make the holes in this oversized plastic box so tiny? This bloody thing is going to take a long time to fill. I beg you to redesign the plastic in this EXPENSIVE piece reword to add two more cells Each quadrant should be equipped with a hole, allowing for easy sand distribution and 2) each hole should be 3 inches in circumference. Take this item into consideration from the consumer's perspective, not from the designer's standpoint. It is a pleasure to thank you. If I have to fill this out only ONCE, I hope I will have to do this only once. Thank you. Please consider the suggestions I have offered.
I bought the same one before but this one has The wheels will make the base look bigger, but would anybody pay this price? This was reported to Amazon, who had the item picked up and another sent out. As well as not having wheels, it didn't have a hood. The Chinese maker discontinued the wheels at some point, which left the product cheaper and was difficult to identify. This is typical. Returned only after a lot of trouble. I am deeply frustrated by the massive amount of waste coming from China into our landfills! They should get all of it back. China's manufacturing industry is typified by this Initially they were great, but they started sending junk so they could save money in the long run!.
Once it is filled with water, it becomes impossible to move, so if the wind picks up, it won't blow over. However, if you want to move the item it is not so great.
I would suggest the company back out the cap threads a bit as the increased ambient temperature caused my base to expand greatly. Because the holes don't line up perfectly with the umbrella attachment, I had to redo a bunch of stuff to make it fit. The overall size of the system is massive, but it accomplishes its task very well.
As soon as you do it, it is sturdy. When you fill it with water, it's very impressive. As a result of the holes being about 1 inch in diameter, filling with sand is a nightmare. Having sand buried 5 inches deep and distributing it evenly can be quite the burden. The process took more than an hour and we hope to only need to do it once.
Just by being filled with water, this bass has performed very well. Though it is a little pricey for the materials and construction that make it up, I do think that it was not necessary. With our 13 foot umbrella, we are able to anchor our gear well.
The only problem I have with this is that I thought wheels were supposed to be included, but ours did not. In any case, getting sand into the hole was a bit tricky. About 50 or so were put in Initially, 100 pounds of sand were filled up, and then the rest of the water was added. If this thing is going to come down, the umbrella will need to break off the pole. In this case, it isn't for lack of weight.
