A base like this allows an umbrella to stand free. For the base, you'll need to fill it with water or sand.
It was just letting you know I had a similar An umbrella tilted too far spins out of control
A depth of about 4 inches can be found here. seemed fine at first, but the umbrella tipped over in a wind stronger than 2 miles per hour. I bought a cheap umbrella for it, but when tried to tighten, it makes dents very easily, probably because the screw that tightens the umbrella is not very sturdy. We won't be purchasing from this company
There are about 12 inches between them. There is a base that is 5 inches high and a support that is about 7 inches high. I would say 1/2 inch less or more

When I received this stand, I assembled it according to the instructions, which was very simple to do. Once again, it took no time at all to fill with water on my outdoor pool deck. I tightened the screw to keep my umbrella securely in place and it held my umbrella perfectly. An umbrella stand that we used to have tilted every time it was windy. There is no need to worry about that problem with this stand. My observation is that the flag holder's actual base does not attach to anything, so it can easily rotate. There is no problem as long as the flag is upright. However, we have an umbrella that tilts. Since the umbrella holder is not fixed, any wind causing it to tilt will cause the umbrella to rotate so that there is no way we can keep it from blocking As a result, we cannot use the tilt feature of our umbrella. As a result, the rating of three stars. This umbrella stand is easy to set up, holds an umbrella great, and rotates with the umbrella.
After it has been filled, it is quite After filling it with sand as much as I could, I tried to use it, but it kept tipping over in the wind so I filled it with water the rest of the way (which took a LOT more water so I thought I had more sand). It shook a little with the wind after that, but stayed put after that. As a second I couldn't believe how much sand it took to fill this!!! It took me an hour and a half to fill that tiny hole with sand, little bits at a time. It was extremely difficult for me to use a funnel. Sand kept getting stuck When I got my sand from the hardware store, it was damp (I just took it right out of the bag It was not until after I added water that I realized I had omitted water! The water is super heavy now, so perhaps that is a good sign. The opening would benefit from a much more spacious "put sand here" area! It would be best to try with water first to avoid headaches, and then switch to sand if the water isn't heavy enough.
Though it looks fairly good, the material remains plastic. The old brass finish is not what I would call a great look. Despite being filled with water, it is not as heavy as I expected it to Unfortunately, the most problematic thing is that when it is in the sun and heat, it becomes a little more pliable and soft, and the large umbrella stands tend to bend the plastic, which causes it to collapse. The stand isn't very sturdy for an umbrella that is larger. A tilt option is available on my 8' umbrella. A hot day with a wind of greater than 8mph does not permit me to tilt my camera when it is hot outside due to the softer plastic.
Despite the fact that they appear to have cost much, Whenever I put water inside them, they don't have a problem holding a freestanding umbrella. There is nothing better than the pole holding the umbrella, it is strong, and I mean it during the day! The product was excellent and the service was excellent Make a purchase. Please accept my thanks.
However, filling it was a lot of work (as one might expect). There was probably too much umbrella in my order. Having purchased a different umbrella base, I quickly found that a 30 pound base would not hold up the large umbrella even in slight winds. After determining what the heaviest base would be, I found this product that would be 74 pounds Those who promote I agree, it is heavy and a great anchor
CON My top layer of sand took about two or three hours to lay down. It wasn't too difficult given that I haven't played in a sandbox in decades. On the other hand, the hole should be on the side as opposed to on It would have been much easier to top off if this had been done. It took forever to fill the last 1/3 after it was 2/3 full, and it no longer felt like playing in a sandbox. In addition, I would like to note the following During the wind storm, there was a lot of damage. My large umbrella flew away from the base and hit the ground from my 2nd floor patio. However, it did not move from the base. There's no way I know where it landed, so it must have flown a long distance. The umbrella was never seen The following tip You should make sure you tighten the umbrella screw as hard as you can to secure the umbrella. My umbrella did not get swept away when it was supposed to and so the base was left It's a mess.
It does an admirable job of holding the umbrella steady so you should avoid it if your umbrella tilts. The water inside is solid, but I have it filled with water. When there were really strong winds, I had the umbrella open and didn't have any concern that it would topple over. It is the collar that sticks out through the base and actually holds the umbrella pole that I dislike the most about this stand. When this collar is spun, the umbrella pole The umbrella collar is still allowed to spin inside the heavy base, even when the umbrella is tightly clamped. If your umbrella is not flat or stays flat, it won't make any difference. We actually use the tilt function quite a bit to block the setting sun after it has begun to set if the sun Due to the collar spinning in the base, our umbrella acts as a sail in moderate gusts of wind and spins in order to catch the breeze. In my opinion, I would rate this product 5 stars if there was an option to lock the collar into the base to prevent it from spinning around.
A plastic construction almost fully filled with water so you can expand the plastic in case of freezing without cracking it. I installed this umbrella in less than 10 minutes, even with recent high winds of more than 40 mph. The umbrella collapsed, was tied to the ground, and never moved once it was set up. A decorative solution that's easy to install.
The weight is really nice and it is so easy to fill it with sand or water too. Despite being slick on the bottom, it looks good and is easy to move. Due to its inability to hold my umbrella in place, I'm awarding it 1 star. There is no connection between the pole connector and the base, so even in the slightest breeze my umbrella spins wildly. I did not feel this was worth the price.
