Questions & Answers

Is it suppose to be moved in some way? The directions advise not to lift it by the pole, although there are no wheels or holes to use your fingers to do so. ?

To slide the handcart under, I used a small handcart and used the pole to tilt slightly.

The width of the field should be the same as the width of the text? An example of a 19-point diagram is shown below Thank you! I received a 3/4" item, but the description said 18" wide. Can you clarify?

This is the correct answer 3/4

Does the hardware have a stainless steel finish?

Stainless steel is the material of the screw. A metal tube painted with some kind of color is used.

This alone can support a 9' umbrella, but how do you get the umbrella pole to go through the Would you mind if I just used the base?

While I have not tried it, I would think it could be done as long as the weather is not too

It's a weak point and poorly designed how the tube mounts on the base
3/5

Due to the bronze pole on the umbrella, I bought this to match it. I like the look of it, and I am very pleased with the stability of the umbrella on its 50 pound base This was only necessary because I had to manually insert a bolt into the base of the tube that matches up with a threaded inset in the top of the base. There is a weakness in this design, since the bolt is not threaded into the bottom of the tube but merely epoxy glued there instead. Just as I started screwing the tube into the base, the joint failed before I even had the tube fully inserted, causing it to flounder around and not be able to be screwed in further or backed Also, there are a number of warnings that have not been picked up You can move the tube up and down by grabbing the base, but the warranty will be voided because they know the design will fail. I could reach the screw head with a 15/16" socket and back the screw out eventually if I saw the tube near the bottom of the base. As a result, I mounted a PVC adapter to the base that fit the inside diameter of the tube and then slid the tube over the.

Buying is a bad idea! It took me two summers to "tolerate" it after buying it in 2016
3/5

As I write this, it is ready to be thrown away. Black paint was used to fix a small chip that arrived on the package. In the course of time, despite the fact that I treated it with rust inhibitors, it started rusting. The tower was an eyesore, and repainting it did nothing to mitigate this. Ultimately, all I can say is that it kept my umbrella from flying away, but I'm sure any 50-inch screen would do the same The basis for conversion is the pound. The Amazon shipment of the gray granite base I ordered for this summer will be arriving soon, and I can't wait to get this trash off As a result, a rubber mat was placed under this base rather than a carpet under it, which would have stained the As you can see in the photo, it is NOT glossy and pretty. No matter how long it took me to get it, it didn't even look like the picture on the day I received.

Material of good quality, heavy, and strong
3/5

I was not impressed with the workmanship. A plum pole made out of a base. In the base is a screw that holds the receiver pole. The first obstacle is how difficult it is to screw the pole down. There was no other choice but to use an 18-inch A jaw pipe winch completely recessed into the base with a padding of 1 inch. Additionally, the large 1/2-foot by 8-foot section of the There is no way to straighten the pole nor screw, as the inch pole screw is screwed into the pole far outside of its grove. Due to this, the umbrella top nine feet in the air is about two inches out of plum and looks terrible. I am not pleased with the craftsmanship. Added to this was a really poor effort on the part of the California Umbrella itself, resulting in a bad overall experience. As soon as I get the pole in place, I will shimm up the base top. In addition to returning the California umbrella itself, as the tilt rivet prevents the pole from returning to vertical after tilting, I also intend to return the umbrella itself.

Despite its pleasing appearance, the Umbrella is made of plastic that is cheap
3/5

There was no way I could believe what I saw. I like the appearance of the umbrella, but the parts are made of cheap plastic. The way this looks is great, but it's horrible. There was crumbled concrete under burlap at the bottom when it was shipped. Let's start with that. There is also a plastic piece (which is essential) that is useless. Either the cheap plastic piece or the base itself are crooked, depending on which thread lines up crooked. In order to make this work, the umbrella attachment poles must also be sized correctly. The cheap little screw that was supposed to make the umbrella straight up and down vertically (OR YOU WOULD HOPE), broke and with not much or no wind, when cranking the umbrella to shield the sun, it is crooked and bent and not fitted correctly. A weight dumbell had to be placed on one side just so I would not have it fall over the balcony and crash into I am sooooo disappointed. It looks and works like a cadillac but is made of garbage. Besides currently hunting for solid bases that stand straight and are well-made, I have to build a new base. BAKE THE UMBRELLA ALONE AND DON'T BUY THIS BASE FOR IT. This warning has been given to you. This is a deal! It is a deal! WHAT IS WITH THE LEANING TOWER OF PIZA, for goodness sake? Those are lame.

This is not a good idea! You may not like the concrete thing as much as you thought you would
3/5

I find this to be a cheaply made item. As ours arrived badly packed and damaged in transit, the pad had detached, and the base had been You should not buy this umbrella stand. We have owned quite a few umbrella stands in the past. As well, it looks like cheap metal. Returning it, but the box is also damaged, so I've lost about $10 for the hassle plus the damage to the box. This one is a no go.

There is a rust ring on the surface
3/5

Despite its positive attributes, this umbrella base lacks the following qualities. (4) It weighs 50 lbs (in contrast to those that weigh 22 lbs or less) and does not blow away, compared to many smaller products. (1) The umbrella pole goes into a pipe that is 18 inches tall (taller than the average). (2) The umbrella pole is attached to the pipe with 2 side screws (instead of 1). As a result, the system is more stable. (3) The design is nice. (4) But the real problem with this umbrella base is the rust ring it left on my patio floor after the first rain. Even though I was able to get it off using bleach, I don't like having to get down on my hands and knees to clean up after a rain. It is clear that the manufacturer needs to protect this item from rust. now that I am responsible for that, I have to deal with it myself. For the time being, I bought a mat to put underneath.

Make sure you choose the right umbrella size
5/5

A larger umbrella may be more effective. You need to be smart about what weight and how the balance and bass are made depending on how big your umbrella is going to be. The first time I did this, I was cheap and got about half what I should have gotten. That was my fault for underestimating and being In our wind test, we found that this rock base held up well to the force of the wind.

It would not be a purchase I would make Purchase was a terrible mistake
3/5

I didn't make it through the winter to Apparently, the bottom of the base did not stay in place and the concrete inside has crumbled. So far it has served its purpose until I can purchase a replacement umbrella stand. I plan on throwing it away Despite spending a lot of money, it was wasted.
