Questions & Answers

Can a pole with a diameter of a certain diameter ?

Purchase from this company at your own risk! There was a shipping fee for returning this item, and they did not cover it. We visited UPS, FedEx, and the US Postal Service. Those companies will charge you 73 dollars, 79 dollars, and $50 dollars, respectively, to ship it back. This is unimaginable! It is best to avoid ordering from this company.

What options are there for adding height to the pole?

Based on this design, umbrella poles of any kind can be used. Regardless of what umbrella you choose, you will receive a pole with it.

What would happen if I left water in the ground for winter? Would an expanding body of water cause it to break down?

That's most likely the case. Each of the four pieces took about five minutes to fill. I would recommend that you dump out the water before putting the house up for winter.

When assembled properly, these can be difficult to assemble, but they work great when they are
4/5

My bucket was about 95% full, then I filled the remainder with water. I took a few seconds every few seconds to shake the water down into the sand and mix it all In my opinion, this is the most powerful option you can select. The sole purpose of this is to fill the tanks with water, but you'll have a difficult time doing that. My opinion is that the water alone wouldn't be heavy enough for the umbrella. As opposed to some reviews I've seen, the only reason I experienced water leaking from the base was that I reattached one of the caps at an angle, and that was a simple, quick With that said, I would like to point out that The task of filling in these bases was very tedious and time-consuming. Each of these has a hole in it in a place that requires you to stand it on its rounded edge, the hole is not very big, and I had to sit there for multiple hours to get sand into them all In spite of the fact that there is no way to make the hole bigger, this is how it is from a design point of view. I believe it will only be necessary to fill these up once and then leave them alone. The part that seems to cause the most controversy is this Hooks that hook onto the bases of the clips. They are not clear about the reason for their existence and why they have the character they do. The first thing I want to mention is The system is very confusing and annoying to use, but that is what makes them so fascinating! The bases are mostly useless on their own as they can easily wiggle out of place since they sit on top of the metal base that comes with the umbrella. With these metal brackets that connect each base to the metal umbrella base, you are ensuring that all 4 bases are pressed against the umbrella base with constant pressure, which keeps the umbrella in place It was easiest for me to attach them by picking up the corners of the two base pieces you're trying to connect and angling them to meet each other, while simultaneously pushing the bases toward each other in the opposite direction (with two people this is much easier to do). The holes you need to add your wires to can be found with some trial and error. I disagree with the people that say they are not long enough Although they are just long enough, they wouldn't be able to hold the bases in place if they were easy to install. Many of the negative reviews of this item appear to be from people who couldn't easily put the clips in and There are people who cannot succeed in life, and you've already come too far to give up now. It has been a week since I actually assembled the base along with the umbrella, and we have only had winds of around 10 mph since then, but with nearly 150 pounds of sand and water in the bases, it seems like it would take an awful lot for it A firm umbrella was opened in strong winds which had no business being open in the first place). There are some things I do not like about this Although I gave it two stars because it was difficult to fill the bases up, I am pleased that I chose to go ahead with the purchase.

Here is an assembly trick you should read
5/5

It has been rated 5 stars in quality and durability. I purchased this for my "Flame & Fire" project This shade umbrella is 10' long and cantilever to provide shade from the sun on my pool's *Understanding the proper assembly (sand) is a project. If you want more stability and weight, sand is a much better option than water. Each finished piece weighs roughly 60 pounds if the sand is used. The thing ain't moving - I haven't had a leak even when I added water. As I finished the first base and spent 45 minutes scooping and sifting sand into a funnel so as not to clump it, I found a cheat. Describe the biggest thing you ever got - Make a funnel similar to one used for oil, then cut a 2 liter bottle in half so that it can also be used as A double funnel setup is to place the 2L spout into the umbrella base (it fits perfectly), and then the large funnel on top of the 2L or in between the two. Using the large funnel, fill it with sand until it is full (it will overload the funnel and not flow), align the opening of the funnel with the 2L spout, and slowly add water to the funnel to make a slush - It's good to be consistent. I love how it flows into my foundation with no problem! There are about eight bases so it takes a half cubic foot of sand per base (a typical bag of sand at Lowe's/Home Depot). Use fine sand and not coarse paver sand if you can. (It sand flows more easily through a funnel when it is fine. My 13 year old son said, "I can't imagine what it would have been like if we hadn't figured it out initially. " If we'd stayed out all night, we would have had a great time! It took no time at all for the aluminum bars that lock the 4 bases to align. Even though there were a few negative reviews here on this site, I took a risk and bought it anyway. I would rate this product 5 stars if it was properly set up.

The return for a refund was very disappointing
3/5

A REFUND is only available upon return of the item Purchasing this item as part of my cantilever umbtella purchase was listed as "buy together". I purchased this product at 70 years old with health issues because it was easy to lift, store, function and durable, especially since I cannot lift large patio stones or heavy umbra A single one of four clips fit properly over the umbrella base flange, catching either one flange or the other, not both to ensure a secure fit. Three of the four leaked upon filling, and three of the four showed too much protrusion from the caps for a proper fit on the stand poles. The return for a refund was very disappointing.

The umbrella has just been held down by the handle
5/5

The weighting system we're using so far seems to be a good fit. Using the tiny steel hooks, we connected the individual portions with water, placed them around the umbrella base, and filled each with water. It proved to be a good solution for us, since we did not have to deal with sand and funneling it into the spouts. We do retract the umbrella when bad weather arrives, as it's sensible We did, however, receive those four hooks to bind them together, so it appears they've changed this item since last year (see photo). There were a lot of reviews saying the weights pictured were different than what they got.

The time it will take or the money it will cost are not worth it
3/5

The money spent on this or the time spent on trying to get it working was not worth it. As long as the pieces are not covering the flanges of the umbrella stand, the stand will tend to tip. There was no way to connect the pieces of the clips because they could not be pushed together closely enough.
