I was able to loosen two screws by removing them
Thank you for contacting us regarding our side awning. The UV rating is 50+ and it was appreciated that you took the time to contact us.
I am grateful for your question regarding awnings, however we suggest you seek alternative options than to leave it in a strong wind and snowstorm. Best regards, sincerely,
This sail does a good job of catching the wind. Our hot tub is equipped with 2 of these screens on both sides, and the heated tub has held up perfectly even on the coldest and blusteriest winter nights in Minnesota! If the wind is blowing hard on these windy days, I would retract them. It seems like they may stretch out a bit and have a bit of a parachute

The quality of a product is very important. Approximately half of the time The only complaint is that you have to be careful how they roll back up because they can become creased if you are not careful.
As a result of the spring tension being extremely disproportionate from top to bottom, the top flaps wildly all the time. You need to have a lot of strength to run the spring mechanism, as the springs are quite tight. It's the other end where you hook the screen that's the worst it's made of very thin material that's difficult to put in and lock. There's no point in bothering me with it, I returned one, and the second would end up in the garbage, so I would have to buy.
Request the return of your money. The first reason I didn't install it was the fact that it was difficult for an average woman to open all the way plus the dimensions are short so it would not fit between my balcony walls and you have to be an engineer to open it so that the sheet doesn't fold into.
There was some difficulty installing the hardware because it didn't fit. Plastic is used for the post. At the base, it was broken off by the first gust of wind. It is very difficult for the blind to get back in. Your money will not be wasted.
I need to hire a handyman and buy tools. To install this one, I don't need to install a bunch of tools. I would've benefitted from knowing I needed a bunch of tools. Due to my inexperience, I regret purchasing the kit. I do not know how to install it and I do not have anyone to help me. Regardless of what it takes, I'm going to have to get an electric hammer and a hexagonal spanner. In other words, that's all. This is scary. If you are not a handyperson with a wide toolkit and a lot of experience, you should not buy this.
[The day after we installed it, we actually connected the zip-ties to it and zipped it to the house Instead of drilling the concrete, we tie it to the deck support] we had sustained 30 mph winds and wind gusts between 40 and 70 mph. While holding our breath, we were both very nervous. Having just moved there, everything was great! I am very impressed. Thanks for the great deal!.
There is no doubt that this is a heavy-duty A very nice job. In either case, bolting to the ground or building a very sturdy deck is required for installation. It was bolted to the deck and the lock handle was done on the house. There is no doubt that power tools are necessary. This is exactly what you need to stop neighbors from spying on you.
Because the retraction spring is large, you have to be very strong in order to pull the Awning all the way out and lock it. It is attached to the siding of our house which is made out of vinyl and installed on our composite deck. In my experience, if you are not an engineer, it's difficult to figure out how to do that. Luckily, I am, so I designed a mounting system that incorporated aluminum square tubes and threaded steel rods that are accessed through the siding and into the studs. Once installed and working, the system cuts the wind effectively and is virtually invisible. Since our deck is composite, I am now developing a method to give the composite deck board that it is mounted to more strength so that it does not come loose over time.
