The product did not come with instructions, but I found a similar one online and installed it myself in about two hours. It would be helpful if there was a second person. To purchase replacement arms for the damaged ones caused by a storm, I visited the website. The arms and braces had no hope of being repaired even when fully retracted. As a result the ladder was never fully extended, and the welds needed to adjust the height were pretty flimsy and broke within the first month. Although it was easy to put together, attaching it to the side of the vinyl siding home we have required a few extra parts and planks, but I enjoy hobby work so that was no problem for me. In the end, I will take the old one and keep the new one as spare parts. However, that's just because it is cheaper than putting up a permanent deck cover (that I will eventually do). While it's nice to have some shade from it, I'd say wait for something more durable before putting it up. You get what you pay for at the end of the day.

It is possible that the instructions are more obvious in one of the other languages, such as Turkish or whatever one of the many others is written in. English sure is not clear to them. It was the most horrifying thing that has ever happened to us! That's for real!.
