The bolts came with long fat ones for concrete but I wanted to utilize them for my window air conditioners, so I bought 1 3/4 inch wood screws from our local hardware store and had my handyman install them right into the wood (which frames my windows) and they worked beautifully! The product was very good for about $42 each and he had all three set up and installed in 90 minutes.
A little over 5/8 inches in length. In order to drill the holes, you will need either a 13/32 or 27/64 inch In the brick and mortar above my door, I chose to replace them with similar sized lag bolts and soft metal jackets when using this type of fastener for the first time.
The snow hasn't been as much this year, but given the curve, it doesn't stay on the ground for very long

Keeping some of the bad weather off your door is one of its main benefits.
I did not have an awning professionally installed on our back porch since it was an afterthought, so any awning I wanted to install wouldn't Because I needed 18 inches above the door and I only have 12 inches, an awning is a better alternative than a traditional one. The product is not very sturdy, but it is a fairly easy one It will only cost you $00, so don't expect a lot. The idea isn't necessarily bad, but I don't think it's ideal. The one I have is on the back door of my house, and it has held up well. My recommendation to anyone in the same boat as me is to check this out. There was an offer of a warranty, which I took. In prior to ordering this, I talked with a couple of local awning companies. They were the ones who recommended this type of awning. As they told me they were flimsy and plastic, I bought the warranty when I bought the awning because of this. I'm pleased with how things are going so far.
Both are cracked, so we are not very satisfied with them.
There were a lot of problems during installation. In order to pull this thing together, you would need to be an octopus. You have to first get up there to realize how flimsy it is. There will have to be two people involved in the installation. But I also needed some protection from the elements for my basement door, and this was a cost-effective option. So far, the wind-resistant umbrella has survived several storms with heavy winds, so in general, I am very happy with it!.
After receiving the product in the mail, I put them together myself and hung them all by myself. It took me about 2 hours to complete the task. It takes a little patience to do this. I would recommend going on the U-M website. Check out some videos on how people installed them on YouTube. It was really easy to put them together, but I would suggest getting an extra set of hands if you aren't handy. If you want to measure your distances, I recommend drinking your holes first and measuring everything else afterward. You DO not want to hang it too low to the door if your terrace has a screen, as the screen needs to be able It is likely that I will give the product an even better review after they have survived the cold winter here in New England.
I was concerned about the packaging after opening it because it appeared After it was installed, we experienced a number of high wind storms, and it held up well every time. There is something I really like about The unit is sturdy after it has been assembled.
MOLD GROWS IN WATER TRAPS. This product arrived looking great when it was first delivered! When we noticed it after the plastic was installed and rain fell, we found that rainwater somehow gets caught between the pieces of plastic and it never dries! A mold or mildew growth grows inside the ice box, and it is impossible to dry or clean it. Time and time again, I reached out to the seller, but they turned a deaf ear and avoided any help in resolving this problem. DON'T DO IT.
We tried to install this product and it totally fell apart when we tried to install it. It is so weak and delicate that it would easily be destroyed by the wind in a storm. I tried to return the item, but the seller has not responded.
