Questions & Answers

The 3/4 inch PVC pipe connected to a rainwater barrel can be drilled for these holes, right?

This is precisely what we did. We drilled and tapped a 3/4" pvc pipe and threaded it directly into the wall. Since several months have passed, they have been working perfectly without a hitch.

What can I do to get in touch with What do I do when more than half of my cups don't work?

Once you pull them apart, you can insert a tiny bit of something, I used a slice of wine cork, in the spring. Once you put them back together, it will work flawlessly.

Thanks for visiting! Does this food pass the food grade test? What is the BPA free policy? I appreciated it! ?

BPAs are not present in this product.

The heated copped tubing should work in freezing temperatures, but will it work through pvc when it is frozen? In addition to the bucket heater, we have a portable heater for use outdoors. ?

If the temperature drops below freezing, the water in the cups will still freeze because the water in the cups is subject to the cold. As well, we do not recommend using a pressurized water system, as the cups can only handle a certain amount of pressure without becoming overfilled. If you want to "winterize" your waterer(s), we recommend trying our horizontal side nipples, which you can purchase on Amazon. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

Make sure your chicken does not become dry or A little over three different types of nipples later If you said that anywhere else, it would sound Having tried so many different things but all of them failing, I was at my wits' end
5/5

I would forget to put out a bowl of water, and my chickens would go dry. The only other option was to leave the hose running all day (the insurance company told me to get rid of the chickens or get rid of the hose after a flood in my basement). There is nothing more genius than these little cups. I don't think Buckminster Fuller is genius, but I do think he could have made some lower-level designs (Like maybe a Brainy-type of genius I think I've been thinking of Smurf or one of those kids who sits in the back of the class in Harry Potter, and gets good grades while nobody notices him, and also he doesn't have to get into those wand fights).
All you have to do is drill a hole in whatever you are filling up with liquid and thread these into it. To clarify, I would like to point out. If you are drilling holes, don't just drill them anywhere. In the same way as The drill will not be used. The human body is divided into the following Drilling is definitely not permitted. You can drill into dirt, but even Bear Grylls can't get much liquid from that, so it's probably not worth the effort. Thus, you just need to drill a hole in a bucket, then thread the little cup in. Put the bucket of water with the birds in it, and let them play. Either fill it with Gatorade and then dump it on top of the MVP chicken, or just dump that It will all be a flurry of squawking, and that one bird will love attention since it figures out where all the attention is coming from. Here's the deal What do you think of MVP? *Do not fill the bucket with Mtn Dew or Monster Energy, your chickens will start doing extreme stunts (including getting It may be impossible for me to forget some of what Princess Buttercup said to me)

Anyway You should not read any of this (it will only make you dumber and more confused). That is, unless you just read all of this. In that case, the smarter and dumber will simply cancel each other out, and you will simply rise to about the same level of intelligence you did before buying/reading. In any case, I'm a lot smarter than that smug smurf).

When they work, they can be great, but they are expensive and have a high failure Most people deem the failure rate to be too high for the price of these to justify them
3/5

When they work, these cups and drinking nipples are the best. My chickens love them. I have used every type of cup and drinking nipple available to me. The only problem is that they do get dirty and are hard I have been using them for about six months and have installed about ten of them so far, and probably five of them have failed. My fillings just stop. I have no idea why that is. In comparison, your standard Nipple also does the job, but at a much lower cost, instead of $6-$8. It's rare that I have a problem with standard nipples. These have been on my desk for six months now. As soon as I got them, I thought they were awesome. In any case, they're good at what they do, but the combination of the cost and the failure rate doesn't make sense. There is so much more I could say about this- However, the bottom line is that these are great when they work and if you can replace them when they wear out. I recommend sticking with standard nipples if you're on a budget.

READ THIS IF YOU ARE A CHICKEN KEEPER! Then, add this The following items have been updated as of May 17, 2019 This is a must-try for anyone who wants to find out what it's all about
5/5

After transferring the new cups to 4 gallon buckets, all I had to do was drill a few small holes and insert a cup, and my chickens have near constant fresh water supply. I did have a problem with a cup, but I must say that Rent A Coop has by far the best customer service I have ever experienced. It has been almost no problems at all getting replacement parts from them and they respond to my emails promptly. My waterers have been in place for 2 months, and I must say that they do what they are supposed to. The water in my buckets is only refilled every 3 weeks, but I could go longer if I wanted to. The burden of constantly giving your chickens fresh water does not have to be borne by me anymore. The health of your chickens is largely determined by their access to clean water. If you will attempt my bucket technique, I hope you will believe me. The nighttime sleep will be more sound, and the daytime rest will be more restful. Invented by a backyard chicken keeper, it is the life changing invention! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book!.

The purchase was a very good one for us
4/5

I was relieved to discover it after trying so many other options that failed. This is a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED book! My chickens love them so far! They're the best waters I've ever found. Birds need to learn how to peck at the little red cups in order to fill them up with water, therefore they are useless. I am incapable. In my experience, 9 out of 10 chicken nipples leak when they're installed. It is evident that our chickens prefer to drink from a bowl that is filled with water. The cups give the chickens a bowl filled with water that they can drink from comfortably without ever running out. And they don't have to learn any parlor tricks to refill it. There are simple steps to follow- Water in a cup reduces its weight as the birds drink When the cup is raised, it opens the water supply source, and then more water is pumped back into the bowl. A stoppage of the flow is caused by this. Please read this note to other chicken waterers manufacturers COPY THIS AND PUT IT ON A DOCUMENT. I would only suggest making the cups a bit thicker- and I expect they will be stronger when you take them out to use them later on In the rare case of a chicken running into the plastic hard enough to cause it to dislodge from its operational position, they will dislocate from that position. One time the cup was disabled, and it has happened again, but this time the cup was enabled. If this could be resolved, then a sturdier plastic or possibly a smaller cup, which would likely be less flexible, could be used. I believe this purchase was a great decision. I was relieved to discover it after trying so many other options that failed. This is a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED book!.

Here's the latest! There are mixed feelings about this
5/5

A recent update I have cut and pasted my original post The company sent me new buckets after I wrote this review and added plastic washers in the interior of the bucket for added stability. They also fixed it! Not only are they excellent at customer service, they also resolve issues. The fact that they work perfectly now and have made my life that much easier is a great feeling for me! All the items on their site are on my wish list Now that washers are included in every order, hopefully they will add them to more orders in the future. I want to love this, but I am torn between loving them and not loving On three different bucket sizes I have tested these one 5 pound bucket did not fill, one rentacoook bucket did not fill, and one smaller flimsier bucket worked well! Therefore, if there are any tricks to it that I'm not using correctly I would love to know since it keeps water cleaner than any other waterer.
