Questions & Answers

Could you please let us know why this item isn't available in ?

There is no way I know. You can check the product listing on the manufacturer's website.

Are cats able to use this? The mason jar I want to use as a cat waterer will be used indoors. ?

If you decide to get the 1 gallon version, I would get it for cats. Due to the small base of this model, the risk of the cats tipping it over is real, and getting home to water on the floor isn't always pleasant. When he has at least half a gallon of water in the 1 gallon version, it is unlikely a cat would tip it over.

Is this the right size for a wide mouth 64oz glass mason jar?

It fits into a 1-quart (32-ounce) Mason jar, but I found that the water did not flow into the plastic base via gravity unless you tipped it over! There is no need to recommend this item, I threw it in the trash!

Is it okay to put these So they don't get slimy (I keep a small flock of them), I want to rotate them. Thanks a lot! ?

Although they are hard, this means I need to handwash them daily, as well as the bottles, in addition to spraying peroxide on them to keep slime at bay. It may or may not be dishwasher-safe, but I'm not sure. They don't like mixing the chicken stuff with the The germ paranoia comes from my own personal experiences. There is no denying the power of small flocks! I apologize I couldn't be of more help to you.

I purchased a new iPhone 6 and it is the best purchase I have made in quite a while! As soon as I saw it, I could tell it was a bit wider and deeper than the rest of the products I have purchased
4/5

It works perfectly for ducklings! The plastic variety makes a mess so I bought this instead! how I use it, whether I use it for chicks, ducklings, goslings or adults, my babies end up emptying it very quickly. The items that get much water are the pine shavings and the That is not the case here! In the early hours of the morning, I washed it and filled a 6 ounce mason jar with it. The ducks will be born at 8 a. m. for two ducklings. The two of them were relaxing near the basin in peace! I don't think they have been quiet once in their 2 weeks of life. It was surprising not to find any Those ducklings didn't get wet or cold, and their water was still there! My ducklings have even been fed plastic tops in order to satisfy their curiosity, and I just came back in the morning to find a swimming pool and more ducklings. There are screams from the - I am ordering more of these for my chicks, and I am converting the rest into feeders. It is nice that I can choose from a variety of sizes of jars to meet my needs, and I especially appreciate that the basin is deep enough for ducklings or goslings to get into comfortably without making a mess. You can really feel the difference in weight of the glass! One of the greatest things about them is how much peace of mind they provide! When they have plastic tops, it is difficult to see through them In the event that algae starts to grow or the water appears cloudy, you cannot see anything. By looking at the water at a glance, I know if it looks good, and I can rotate it for cleanliness by flipping on a new top. They will also get more use, since they're deeper and wider, so I can use them for a longer time I am so grateful for the ease that these make the entire process of raising ducklings and keeping them It takes a lot of effort and time to fill their water and clean their facilities Thanks for providing this! It is already helping me so much! An extra jar of water is an invaluable convenience that helps make caring for them much easier and faster and you'll save both the stress and time involved in sweeping up the spilled water. Besides the savings in feed and labor, it will also save on fuel It's shaving time! It is impossible to compare the performance of plastic topped ones with the ones with plastic tops, which cost twice as much! There is no doubt I would recommend this book to anyone who raises chicks, ducklings, guineas, goslings, turkeys or any other kind of poultry. It is possible that they can actually serve a number of valuable purposes for other small animals as well. Try them out and see what you think! It will be a pleasure for you! They will actually pay for themselves by limiting the amount of other waste products when your chicks, ducklings, etc. outgrow them! It is hard to express how pleased I am with this purchase. Here's an example There's been a significant reduction in cleaning and running back and forth filling water. I probably saved around an hour or a day of time. I estimate I have reached a savings of $2 this week in shavings, food, and water waste! As a bonus The ducklings cannot be happier, healthier, or quieter than they already are! It would have been enough for me if there had been any improvement. I was blown away by how well this turned out! Did you ever think this would happen? It's so funny.

I wouldn't call it great, but it's not bad, either

The instructions say to use mason jars, which is what I'm doing. Getting the screws to turn properly is a challenge. There are a couple of variations to get it right on the first try. There is no way for water to escape the mason jar, so it needs to be screwed all the way shut. A loosening of the seal that allows too much water to leak out could lead to floods. For it to work properly, you might have trouble locating the exact location where it needs to be installed. As far as the price goes, it is not bad, but you need to be attentive to it, make sure it does not leak too much water out, as well as verify that it does let In case a chick tips it over, if it's too loose, it will fall off. It is not uncommon for mine to knock over their water, and they did it one night, spilling it They did not have any water to drink, nor did their bedding appear to be dry. Our chicks went without water for a night nearly a week ago, and the next day one died. They need to be checked on throughout the night now that we've learned our lesson.

The design of the page is poor

As the chicks scurry around in this one, the chicks throw stuff into it regularly which clogs it. I bought this as well as a metal version at the same time. Things are placed in the tray. The tray somehow rises into the jar attached to it. The whole thing becomes clogged with stuff. There is a problem with a small opening in the water that restricts its As far as I am concerned, it needs to be cleaned way too frequently.

The size of a grain of rice

Although it looked like it would fit my chicken waterer, it was a lot smaller than I expected. Instead of using a bottle, I decided to use a Mayo jar, which I am using to water my kitten! Anyone who is considering purchasing should listen to this advice. Comparing what you need before ordering can save you time and money. My normal routine is to do so, but I didn't this In any case, I still use it, and it works fine if you need one this small.

This is great for our Despite our best efforts, we could not get our latest set of baby chickens to drink from the current purple drinker

We decided to bring this in to replace it. Upon purchasing this one, they ran immediately for it, I'm not sure if it's because the color is red or what, but it's worked fine for us. The jar was so much better to clean when used with a mason jar.

I modified ours a little, now it works really well

Mason jars will fit loosely on top of this band. It is extremely easy to cross. If you screw it on, make sure you use thread. It is possible to screw the jar on almost all the way (so far that water cannot come out from the hole) before sealing it to the base. In order to let air in, I drilled two small holes near the bottom. As soon as the jar is not completely screwed in, water will properly pour out.

This waterer is great for the price
4/5

Despite its small size, the waterer base is perfect for regular-sized bottles The mason jar should be the right size. In my case, I paid six dollars per unit The capacity of the flock lasted until around the 6th or 7th week for chicks that were week old. The waterer I had to use eventually became too small for my plants.

And since chickens like to roost, a small plastic funnel had to be placed on top of the mason jar to prevent the chicks from sitting on top and then contaminating.

Considering how clumsy ducklings can be, this was pretty good
4/5

A very good water dish for baby ducks and other animals. It keeps the water cleaner and doesn't run out A duckling cannot swim in this kind of water bowl, which is a major safety concern. Water dishes are always flipped over by their large feet, leaving a mess behind. They tend to swim in their water dishes and their big feet always try to swim in them. My only issue was that I would have preferred the outer rim to be 1/2 inch Fill the trough 1/4 inch from the edge and you'll find that water will easily run out of it. Water will not spill out), just to keep the water inside. If the outside were higher, it would be a far better design.
