As far as I am aware, we haven't experienced any problems with ours. It is kept mostly in a shaded area, Dirt that falls into the red tray somehow gets vacuumed back into the water holding area. That is the only issue we have had.
I believe 32 inches are measured from the top of the lid to the ground.

A few dozen chickens and four ducks make up the main flock of my community, so I go through a lot of water daily. Nipple products are not for me, as I don't like them, and I have never used them before, so this is what I wanted and much nicer than I expected. Taking care of cleaning & maintenance You can hang the sculpture off the ground if you want to, and it will be easy to transport. A second one will be ordered before the Baby Emus I appreciate any feedback you give me by clicking the Helpful button if this review helped you. Thanks a lot!.
The water flow is controlled by the lid cap and is a great design. I have purchased a few others and this is the best. Put a little tightening pressure on it and it will be ready to A perfect regulator of water. needs to be level but the water distribution should also be level. The water lasts much longer for my chickens than you would find with The grade I got was At first, I used the 5 gallon size of this brand, but eventually I needed something larger as I often travel. The product I wanted was not available locally, so I purchased another type - which I was dissatisfied with. Having ordered this one, I like it a lot. It is extremely heavy, but I'll be able to carry it the 300 feet to the coop, but I'll usually use the wagon or wheelbarrow instead of carrying it. I had an 8 gallon water container on legs that worked fine but was too heavy for me to handle, and it was difficult to adjust the flow, the legs always cracked in transport, and the cap was too small and needed to be replaced. One thing I don't like is that when you want to open it for water to escape, the cap for stopping the flow of water can easily fall off. However, if you always keep it on the little nub they provide at the top it's fine. That's a great idea.
It is my chickens' favorite watering container out of a dozen I have. Water doesn't get contaminated and there is no roosting on it. There is no difficulty in completing the form. You must tighten the lid tightly to prevent the water from flowing out too quickly.
The chicken coop is a MUST if you have one!.
The result is that all the water is not consumed by the chickens before it has to be pumped out cleanly. It's a total nightmare to lose the tiny cap that goes over the bottom hole so that you can repurpose.
I have bought this watering unit for my flock and it is the best I have ever used. Then and now. This container has never leaked, has no cracks, is easy to clean, and holds a lot more water than any I have found at my local feed store. There is a lot of plastic in this item and it is quite thick. Even my stupid turkeys manage to roost on its handle from time to time without knocking it over.
As long as it holds my ducks, I like it.
waterer is great for using in the open and on runs. Having chickens in coops with their claws out can make a mess since they scratch and make messes. It is necessary for one to clean out the water tray daily and refill it with clean water the water tray fills with their scratch. It works well for me when I run. Putting it on a block and elevating it up about 6 to 8 inches In the future, when this one wears out or is ugly, I will buy it again.
