Little Giant Automatic Animal Waterer (Black) Float Controlled Automatic Waterer for Livestock (4 Gal) (Item No. FW16MTLBLACK)

We have had a couple that were around for five or more years, and they have never broken. I wish the mechanism could be accessed easily for cleaning purposes, and that's the only thing I wish was better. As time passes, the backside of the cover where the mechanism sits can get dirty and you have to remove several Phillips head screws to clean it. I m but. The company's nbsp Right now, I use this for 4 large dogs. I plan on installing more in the barn in the coming months. I think this bucket is excellent. I like that the filler system works well and can be adjusted for water level easily. During installation, there was a 15-minute delay. There is only one thing I don't understand the absence of a Not having a cleaning companion is problematic because it bolts into a wall (or to a fence) and requires regular cleaning. The horse benefit is amazing with this product. Those 4 legged monsters broke the original trough in both of our previous troughs where you put it just on the As they kicked it with their front legs, chewed on it, and totally ate it, they completely broke the skull. However, this one is great. They can't kick this one, as they cannot reach it, and the actual waterer is hidden under the surface, so they aren't tempted to do something There may be a way to drain it from the bottom and be able to clean it better, but that is the only complaint I have. In the current state, draining and cleaning can be messy due to the whole thing needing to be unscrewed or using cups. Either way, it will be a long process. The only thing that would make this product better would be a plugped drain hole at the bottom underneath. Nevertheless, it is a great product.

It is the mouth of the dog. The automatic waterer is built of solid plastic and comes equipped with a floatation device so your dog (or cat, as the case may be) can drink directly from it. The hose feeding the waterer needs to be kept cool by burying it under dirt or mulch to ensure that it does not overheat. Animals will not use it as readily if it is not available. So far nothing has grown in mine in the shade and it has stayed cool despite being in the shade. The dog we adopted used to live on the streets for a long time. The nickname comes from her habit of dipping her entire face into her drink while drinking It means "mouth". In that case, we got her a kiddie pool, but it was too cumbersome for me to empty and fill. Because of the automation and the ease of cleaning, I love this one. In addition to fitting her entire face into the container, she likes that she can take it everywhere. It is less of a favorite to have the metal ones.

In comparison to other livestock float valves that required regular adjustment of the level of water, I haven't had to do any adjustments on Cleaning it is as simple as picking it up and dumping out the water, and a fresh supply of water fills it in probably a minute or two. I use it along with a mini donkey, cow, sheep, and goats (it can be placed very close to the ground for smaller animals), and none have ever tried to step on it, break it, push it around, chew on it, or anything like that. In the bowl, algae does form, but it has not affected the mechanism in any way.

Watering system that automatically watered the plants. My temporary dog house was made out of plywood and 2x4s, and I bought this for our pup. Despite being easy to assemble, you will need to drill a hole in the bottom of the box to mount the drain plug so you can simply drain it. It appears that the plastic is sturdy and thick the float is a good size for the Aside from the mounting, my only complaint is that the float is angled. I can see that it is close to the sidewall of the bucket, so to thoroughly clean the bucket (and/or the float), it is necessary to remove it.

Plastic is used to make these fittings. If you know what the means, you know it can be tightened only up to a point. There will be a Keeping an eye on it is important so that if it starts leaking you won't come back and it will end up being ruined The water is wasted in a huge puddle. 1. *br. There is NO use for cattle in this product. It is misleading. I have trouble getting my heifers to drink water because their heads barely fit. If you're an adult cow, forget about 1. 2. 3. There is a great deal of lag when it refills. Based on another review of this product, I was able to slightly widen the hole, but the refill was still extremely slow. Several heifers are waiting to quench their thirst. One hangs around, waiting for a drink to come along. That's not good at all. 4
There is only enough fill to fill the bucket up to about 5/8 deep. It is aggravating to have this happen.
