Yes, it comes with a schematic, and the colors match the trailer's wire color. The harness was extremely simple to cut and replace, and it has performed admirably.

I'd say it's 14 ga based on the strip gauge I have.
A test light, multimeter, or a trailer light test plug should be used to check the power at the back of the tow vehicle. If power is present, double-check your wire connections and ensure that all lights, the trailer tongue, and the back of the car have good grounds. The majority of the time when you're on a trailer, the ground is bad. Also, double-check the connections at the lights to ensure they are still secure. Moisture had gotten inside the connection and corroded the inside of the wire, which appeared to be fine until I bent the wire and gave it a light tug, revealing the bad wire.

Product was exactly as described, was reasonably priced, and was suitable for its intended purpose. Much nicer cable aesthetic than the original trailer harness wiring I bought; exposed yellow, green, brown, and white electrical tape. However, until I saw this cleaner cable concept on other "factory trailers," it was enough to get me off the light and safety compliance. " I bought several light upgrades for my utility trailer, primarily for function but also for aesthetics, so I figured I'd replace the hitch harness as well. Due to the complexities of my design elements at play, I had to completely overhaul the trailer wiring. This cable allows for a significant upgrade, which I am extremely pleased with. My only flaw, in hindsight, is that I believe I should have upgraded to a 7-prong cable to connect the reverse light kit. I simply had no idea. I'm grateful for YouTube, but I wish I had seen that installation before making this purchase. On the fly learning This is a project for another day.
This was purchased to connect my towed vehicle's lights. I soldered the connections and used marine-grade heat shrink tube because it's a well-made product that should last a long time. Cutting the insulation allows moisture to get into the wire, causing corrosion, which is why a good seal is important when adding wiring to a vehicle or trailer. br>br>This is the best 4-star hotel in the area. I've never seen a conductor trailer lead (and I've spent a lot of time wiring trailers). The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that I would have expected such a high-quality item to include a weather cap.
The Subaru Crosstrek 2018's trailer light output was connected to an LED light bar on my bike rack using this trailer end connector wire. The cable is very thick and feels very solid. The 4 pin trailer end connector connects to the Crosstrek's output, which is located beneath the hatch area beneath the floor. After that, the LED light bar must be connected to the wires. There are several features on the light bar I used: When the car lights are turned on, they activate the brake light, turn signals, and running lights. The connector's multiple wires were then matched to LED light bar wires.
I bought this to go with a 4-piece set I already had. hook up a flat harness to my cargo trailer, which has seven wheels. brakes, aux battery, and back-up battery are all connected by a standard cable. lights that are raised My P/U's dash kept chiming dash information on "trailer is connected" then "check wiring harness" (Chevy) during a recent long trip home. For a few hundred miles, this happened every few minutes! I attempted to solve the issue in every way possible. Chevy, it turns out, is the one who mounts the 7-footer. Invert the receptacle so that the cover spring weakens and the connection becomes intermittent. (It was replaced with a new one that was properly installed. ) br>Needless to say, I set up the 4-channel audio system. If the problem recurs, you'll need a way to connect, or a vehicle without a 7-inch touchscreen. All of the running lights will remain in place. br>This product was of excellent quality and had enough length to reach my terminal box inside the trailer's nose as well as the tow vehicle receptacle. br>I'm going to order some more for my boat and utility trailer.
It far exceeds the requirements of my small tilt utility trailer, which is 25 years old, but I expect the harness to outlast the trailer. The wiring is 14g copper, the sheathing is thick and tough, and the plug is rigid and hefty, but it fits the vehicle socket easily. br>br> My only request is that a longer version be made available, as the 8ft (which I didn't measure but appears to be a "short 8ft") was almost too short for my needs. br>br>This harness is for you if you demand and appreciate the highest possible quality.
Exceptionally good. I was blown away by the quality of construction on this unit. Mice had chewed up all of the old wiring on the boat trailer, so this makes for a very clean installation that will also resist chewing by mice! I'm glad I bought this item. This is a fantastic deal. br>br>One suggestion: get a longer lead (I went with 8 feet). It's preferable to have more and cut off the excess than to have too little and not be able to reach the vehicle's harness.
The length is excellent, and the construction is excellent. I needed a wire to run through the trailer's tongue and into a water-resistant container. junction box that is water resistant Because of the length, I was able to do so without splicing before putting the box together.
I went with the 8' length because it was ideal for relocating my boat trailer. The molded end and thick wire cover over the four multi-colored wires make this a wire project to remember. The strand copper runs were of excellent quality, and I expect them to last a decade or more if not mistreated. I used a double wrap of heat shrink tubing to solder this harness to the trailer lights' cables.
