When full, the tank can hold 4 gallons. It also has graduated markings for 1 gallon, 2 gallon, and 3 gallon. It's 50 pounds when it's full. Once you've got it on your back, the back pack makes it seem like a lot less. Setting it on a bench or table top and then "slipping" into the harness is the easiest way to do it.

I haven't tried it with organic fertilizers, but I believe it should work as long as the solids are water soluble. They will most likely clog the spray head if they aren't soluble.

Reviews have been favorable. Check to see if the box is in good condition. Check, everything appears to be in order. check. Let's get this thing put together, shall we? Pull the wand's trigger just to see what's going on, and you'll be sprayed with mist in the face. WRONG, the lingering odor of chemical poison hits me square in the face. When I open the tank's lid, the same thing happens: the pressure difference sends a poisonous mist through my living room, where I thought I was putting together a new factory product. I'm going to spit if I get another previously used/returned item that I purchased new. Before you sell it to your customers, at the very least rinse it and let it dry. I'm not hesitating any longer; I'm going to return everything until I get what I paid for. there's something new!.
Handle Doesn't Fold – Field King provides poor customer service. "Easy access pump with fold-up handle" is incorrect in the Amazon description. Pump handle can be removed for easy storage, and seals can be changed in minutes without the use of any tools. " A folding handle is not included in this model. The image of the handle resting upright in the photo is incorrect. It remains horizontal and protrudes far to the side for storage. I contacted Field King customer service and spoke with a Customer Service Representative who provided me with incorrect information, as well as her supervisor, who took no responsibility for the situation and blamed the incorrect description on Amazon. This item is listed as "Amazon's Choice," but it has terrible customer service. That recommendation should be removed, in my opinion. They're not deserving of such treatment.
br>br>The tank holds 4 gallons and has a built-in screen to prevent debris from entering the container; however, the screen can be easily removed. I also appreciate the larger opening, which makes it easier to fill. br>br>The backpack portion has padded straps and a two-part quick-connect harness that fits well and comfortably around the chest and back. br>br>The tank inflates quickly, and keeping it inflated while using it continuously is simple and effective. I really liked the 25 psi pressure regulator accessory, which is great for spraying out weed and grass killers on the lawn, for example. Surprisingly, it comes with virtually every spray nozzle you could want, so you can use it for anything and not have to buy any extra parts or accessories. br>br>The only part I wish they had designed differently is the pump arm. I wish there was some kind of push down button or lever where you could rotate the pump arm about 90 degrees so it would sit straight up and not stick out, because it makes it difficult to store the pump sprayer compactly. br>br>In general, it's a great value for the price and what you get, and I'd definitely recommend it to others!.
It claims there will be no leaks, but it did leak less than a year later! On the bottom of the tank, there is a plastic nut that secures the hose to the pump assembly. When the hose connects at the bottom of the tank, how can they guarantee there will be no leaks? Anyway, I took it apart to figure out what was wrong, and the pump assembly's plastic had cracked near the threads' base. And there was a cross-threaded nut on there - from the manufacturing plant! But, since it's only plastic, I can't blame the assemblyman. I've seen more expensive models with stainless steel and other fancy features in the same style and pump - All of them, however, have the same plastic hose connection. That will always be the weak link, liable to snap or cross thread, resulting in a LEAK!.
Here are some ideas.
1. Keep the box because it explains all of the features, such as which nozzle to use for different jobs. The guide is practically useless.
2. When pumped up, it can spray trees up to 20 feet into the air, which is a feature that is not mentioned.
3. Fill, lever to keep pressure up, comfortable to wear on back. Easy to assemble (only one bolt to attach handle to unit), fill, lever to keep pressure up.
Overall, it's very nice and close to 5 stars, but it's not perfect; one minor "complaint" is the constant pumping. You can either pump it up and spray for 10 seconds before repeating OR you can pump it up and slowly but steadily pump it as you spray to keep the spray pressure and pattern consistent. It's a tenfold improvement over the cylinder/bottle type pump sprayers I've had for years from Home Depot. Stop spraying, place the tank on the ground, pump 30 times, then continue for 20 seconds before stopping again with those, and they are also much smaller. After the first time I used it, I tossed the two current Depot units in the trash and wondered why I hadn't upgraded to a "professional" back-up system. a ten-year-old packing unit I've only had it for one extended season, so I can't speak to its durability, but after the first year, there were no issues or leaks. br>br>Filling and wearing it is something you might want to consider. When you fill it up, you'll have about 4 gallons of mostly water, and the sprayer will weigh around 37 pounds. Picking it up off the ground and strapping it on is a pain. It's much easier to fill it while it's sitting on a work bench or a deck railing, then simply slip your arms into the straps and back into it without having to pick it up, or to fill it on the ground and move it to a bench or railing before strapping it on. It's no problem once it's on and you're standing up; I believe most men should be able to handle the weight, but a petite woman or senior may not want to fill it to capacity. Obviously, if the weight is a significant issue, you do not need to fill it to capacity.
