It's simple to calculate, and I've found that putting a little more in there than your pond's gallons doesn't hurt. br>br>I keep about 12 to 15 goldfish in a small 200 gallon pond. I bought three small ten-cent comets about ten years ago and have never had to purchase another fish since. Over the years, I've received a few donations from people who have barrel ponds that they don't use during the winter. br>br>I use this product on a regular basis, and my fish are in excellent health as a result. It's particularly useful for spring cleaning and water top-ups when there's been no rain. The fish's well-being is proof. They work well, and a bottle lasts a long time for me. This is an excellent product.
New packaging is disappointing - Everywhere there are leaks! In shipping, there was a leak.
Note: Up until now, the product has been excellent. I've been using AquaSafe in our Koi pond for over a year with excellent results, and I've previously ordered it from this site. br>However, it came in a brand-new clear bottle with a flip-top lid this time. The liquid now has a blue dye added to it (presumably because the bottle is clear?). ) The cap is not securely fastened - The contents of the bottle dribble out onto my hands as I pick it up. Sure, once the level drops, this will be less of an issue, but the bottle isn't airtight. It leaks into my basket of pond supplies if it isn't kept perfectly upright. br>And why have a squirt-type cap in the first place, when the instructions still say "by the capfull"? br>It's a shame the manufacturer decided to change something that was already perfect, because it's now a pain to use. I was planning on "decanting" it into my old AquaSafe bottle, but the sizes aren't compatible, so I'll just return it.
Normally, the product has an oily appearance and feel. The product had been taken away and replaced with water. This makes me angry. Purchase is not recommended.
We've used Tetra and Aquasafe products in the past, so when we decided to start our backyard pond, we chose this product, which we've been using for a few months and has performed admirably.
The only difference between the Aquarium and regular versions of this product is that one cap full treats 50 gallons of water instead of 10 gallons. So, if I only need a small amount of something, I use a syringe to measure out 1 ml or whatever I require. The fish seem to be in good spirits, and the water is clear. , and for a lot less money, I was able to treat myself several times.
First and foremost, this item was twice the price at my local pet store. br>I use it to top off my koi pond with hose water. I have no way of knowing how much chlorine or chloramine is in my water, so I can't assess how effective this product is. I simply know that after refills, I haven't had any issues. Fish is an excellent source of nutrition.
Because of the extreme heat, I had to fill my 500 gallon pond with city water. I only used a small amount of this product, and the next morning, all of my goldfish were still alive and well. It only took 4 ounces of this product to completely eliminate the effects of city water.
I've been using it for years and it's always worked perfectly. I am a huge fan of their products.
