Questions & Answers
Magnesium Sulphate is Epsom Salt, while Sodium Chloride is the salt commonly used in ponds; the two are not interchangeable and serve different purposes.
My pond has a turtle, and Pablo seems to be doing fine after the application. I used slightly less than the recommended amount.
I have no reason to doubt the label on the box, which says USA. China isn't even among the top ten suppliers of salt to the United States.
Check the salt tolerance of the plants you have, as some will tolerate a small amount of salt while others will not. I have a few water lilies in my pond and added the recommended amount to keep them healthy, as well as performing regular water changes. I hope this has been of assistance.

This is one of my favorite products to use because it doesn't harm my fish. They appear to be doing a fantastic job with it. I don't use more than half of what Directions recommends. I began by giving my fish small amounts at a time until they became accustomed to it. Now I only use about half of the product directions each time; read about the benefits of Pond Salt to see how your fish will benefit. I strongly advise you to use it for ponds. br>Also, make sure you have a good waterfall or aeration system in place for everything else. Your fish will be the healthiest if they have access to air/bubbles. br>I also remove string algae by hand several times a week. All of my fish nearly died when I used a Name Brand product to remove algae. I had to get rid of them. It's been almost a week since I've had access to safe drinking water. I also followed the instructions on the box. Any chemicals in your pond can kill your fish, so do your research before putting anything in there. I only saved my fish because I kept an eye on them to see how they would react. All of them were gasping for air as they died at the very top. Please do not use algae remover unless you are willing to transfer or lose your fish. br>Pond Salt is a healthy alternative to table salt. Not to be confused with chemicals. br>All I wanted to do was tell you about my experience. I'm going to try to save as many fish as possible. My fish are my family, and I adore them!.
It doesn't have to be labeled as Pond Salt. All that is required is pure salt with no additives. Instead of the 4, I can get a 40-pound bag of this. Both cost the same amount of money and were sold for 4 pounds here. Because it hasn't stopped raining in the last few months, my 2500 gallon pond has taken in 80 pounds of salt, which washes out via the pond overflow. I have no idea how much 80 pounds of this would have cost me if I had purchased it in these cartons. I've been duped for a long time, but no longer!.
So far, no one has died! I have a 900 gallon koi pond with a large number of fish in it. I added 1 gallon of water after doing a partial water change. For ponds with plants, use 25 cup salt per 100 gallons as directed. As we approach winter in Michigan, I did this to help my fish cope with stress and strengthen their immune systems. When I added the fall - the lilies had already been cut back for the season. I steered clear of the pots, however, to ensure that no salt got inside. All of the fish appear to be in good health and appear to be having a good time - So far, I'm feeling pretty good!.
It comes in a nice package and is very simple to dump into the body of water you require. However, the salt crystals are quite large, which makes the process of dissolving them more time consuming. They will dissolve over time, so just throw them in and forget about it; the next time you check on it, they will be gone. There are no real complaints because it does the job well and is inexpensive.
The only thing that will keep my pond's water crystal clear is this pond salt. The fish, on the other hand, appear to be unaffected. I have six large koi, twenty goldfish, and four yellow-eared turtles in the same pond, so it's a fantastic product.
If you need pond salt for your pond, get this because it's usually next day prime (California)br>Otherwise, buy larger containers of salt because they're all the same and the amount you need is determined by how much you need. br>There is no off-putting odor, and the package is made of paper and recyclable!.
This is the first time I've added salt to my goldfish and koi. The product arrived on time (thank you for not leaving a mess in the bag), but there was no cup or scoop included, which was disappointing. I use it with caution so that I don't overfill my pond.
The product was delivered on time. I had intended to clean and PH balance the pond in preparation for spring, but when I awoke and looked outside, I discovered that my Koi had been devoured by a flock of egrets. This is something I'm going to give to a friend for his pond.
