Questions & Answers

Is pond water safe to drink for pets?

It has not caused me any issues. We have cats who drink from our pond, and the birds are always bathing and drinking the water, and they seem to be fine. The bottle says it's formulated for landscapers, ponds, and lakes, and it appears to be true. On the bottle, it also says that the bacteria is natural, safe, and beneficial. It is extremely effective.

Is this a good way to get new bacteria to grow in my honeycomb-based biofilter for springstartup?

I've had good luck with all of their products, and beginning a heavy dose and maintaining it on a regular basis in the spring should work with any filtration system.

I received a gallon with small white bits floating around in it, and one half of the gallon is stained with the contents, which are stuck to half of the inside?

So, what exactly is the issue? Is it still a good product? Yes. This product has stained the plastic bottle after I've used over 3 gallons of it. Prior to using, give it a good shake. Use the recommended dose as indicated on the bottle for each required use as long as the foul odor persists, which it will. As long as you follow the instructions, this product is excellent.

I'm replacing the filter media in a Savio F100. Is this the right product to use to start a "good bacteria colony"?

The 1 gallon jug of Microbe-X is a better choice for your application. Lift PL is an excellent seeding product for your Savio F100 filter media.

Magic! I've never written a review on Amazon before
5/5

This is so incredible that I feel compelled to share it with everyone. From the previous owner of the house I bought, I 'adopted' a large 3000 gallon pond. He'd been neglecting the pond for months, didn't have a filter, and didn't appear to know what he was doing. After draining the pond completely, I discovered 3 inches of pure sludge at the bottom. Unfortunately, even after completely cleaning the pond, installing a large filter, not filling the pond to its maximum capacity, reducing the number of fish, installing more aeration, and adding more plants, the pond water still turned green and sludge-like.
I used a lot of chemicals in my work. Nothing worked, from the bare minimum to algaecide. Finally, I decided to give this stuff a shot on the spur of the moment. "What the hell, I've already spent hundreds of dollars on filters and chemicals," I reasoned. "br>br>I did what was asked of me. 24- The first dose should be 26 oz, followed by six oz. For the next four weeks, I'll be drinking 8 ounces of water. There didn't seem to be much improvement in the first two weeks, but the filter had become extremely gunky. Week three - The pond began to clear up, and I became aware of this. I put in my fourth dose tomorrow, but the water is probably at 90% clarity at this point. I have no doubt that the pond will be completely clear by next week. There is no sludge, and the fish appear to be extremely happy and healthy, to the extent that fish can express emotions. I can't test this in a vacuum, but I'd suggest getting some barley bales as well. They'll look great next to the waterfall. br>br>However, this is without a doubt the best purchase I've ever made. I can't say enough good things about it! Because I'm so pleased with it, I'll probably upload photos later.

STUFF TO DIE FOR
5/5

For the previous three years, I had been using a different product that appeared to be effective. The organic buildup in my 1/4 acre pond was bad (30 to 40 years ago) and is still bad, but after allowing a pair of Canadian Geese to raise their twi kids, I had a major influx of organic waste and cute kids. I took a week off and when I returned, the pond was pea soup (puke green) and assistance was still required after several large water drain off sessions. Instead of using my previous product (Orb-), I've decided to try something new. 3) I made the decision to give Microbe Lift a shot. I know it isn an algecide, but two days
after plugging my nose and applying the entire gallon to my 1/4 Acre pond and the weather cooling off a little it% I'm not sure what happened, but the water was cleaner than it had ever been. If I remember, once I get to my desktop PC, I'll try to update with a couple of pictures. I don't recommend or do fevers very often unless something very good happens, but this product did for me, so I thought I'd let you know.

Do you want pond water that is crystal clear? I've been using Microbe-X for a while and it's a great product
5/5

My small backyard ponds and water features have been lifting for years. It's the most effective method I've found for getting rid of the "green algae mess" that appears every Spring. If the application instructions are followed, the water will also remain clear. My fish and frogs aren't bothered by it. Although the liquid has a foul odor, this simply indicates that it is performing its function. I recently purchased this large bottle and applied it to each of my ponds, and the water is now clearing up nicely, with the green algae rapidly disappearing. Simply follow the directions and you'll have clear pond water in no time.

It will take some time, but if you are patient, your pond will be free of green algae
5/5

There were no fish in our pond because it was completely green. We have a 15-by-20-foot pond with a 20-foot-long water wall and a 25-foot-long waterfall. I made the decision to give the Microbe Lift a shot. Despite the fact that we have a large pond, we did not require a lot of Microbe Lift. br>br>For about 6 weeks, we had to use it. Once the microbes have been identified, As soon as the lift began to operate, the water became completely clear. The green algae had all vanished. My husband believes it took a long time for the Microbe- Because the water is so hot, you'll need a lift to get to work. He had also neglected to replace our filters, so the Microbe- Lift wouldn't work until the water had been filtered properly. It has a strong odor to it. br>br> Our fish and plants, on the other hand, were unaffected. We were finally able to see that we had about 20 new, extremely small baby fish. So, if you're patient, I believe the product will suit your pond well.

This is perfect for our koi pond
5/5

Our original pond installer recommended it, and we've been using it for years. It isn't magic, so don't expect a miracle in a day or two! Changes in ponds are usually slow because they are an ecosystem. Just give it time, but get dirty by removing as much debris, leaves, and muck as possible by hand/net first, and then use it for maintenance once it starts working. Since our water temperature rose above 55°F this Spring, I'm on my second gallon as well.
