We use this product to clarify our pond water, and it comes in small packets containing something that resembles sawdust. I don; I don't believe it will suffice for spring cleaning on its own.
For 40,000 people, the dosage would be 8 bags per week, or one full box! This is a four-week cleaning program; you'll receive eight bags in the box, and you'll use eight bags per week for four weeks. Every week, add it to your schedule! I use it in conjunction with (Microbe- PL liquid should be lifted. I clean my filter once a week (or as needed) for my 5,000 gallon pond! This was thrown into my pond a few weeks ago. I've treated it twice now, and the water quality has significantly improved. I'm able to see the bottom and all of my goldfish once more. Hopefully, the blue heron does not notice them as well.
When I transition from Fall to Winter and then from Winter to Spring, I use this lift on my pond. My pond is nestled in a corner of my yard, surrounded by trees. Over 15 years ago, I built my pond. I've never had to do anything more than sweep leaves from the pond's surface with a net. I do have a waterfall filtration system, so any sediment that remains in the water after using the lift is filtered out. I never miss a season of using this product to treat my pond, and I highly recommend it to others, especially those with larger/deeper ponds.
I used to have a 200 gallon pond that was very brown. It was filthy and there was no way to see the bottom. These packets are usually purchased from my neighborhood pond store. Due to the pandemic, everything is closed, so the next best thing is to order online. Every spring, I use these to get things started and to clear the water when it becomes cloudy as the weather improves. I'm very pleased with them, and I trust any product recommended by my neighborhood water garden shop!.
My pond received no benefit from this Spring Summer Pond Cleaner. And, because the Amazon product description didn't specify what size pond this product treats, I had to rely on customer questions and answers. That was a huge blunder. I have a 5,000-gallon pond, and I figured two pillows would suffice. Wrong. I'm so let down.
My pond had turned into a tangle of hairy green muck! I'm happy to report that after one treatment and two days, I've noticed a significant improvement. There's enough product to treat the pond for a long time, much longer than my projection for a clear pond. Even the tiniest pebbles can be seen at the bottom. Isn't it true that it's only been two days?.
I've been a long-time user of Microbe Lift's products. My pond water is crystal clear because of this product. However, there is one criticism of the seller: shipping is extremely slow. However, I was aware of this when I placed my order.
It is a fantastic product for ponds and costs about half of what other pond companies charge.
