How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
As needed, use one ounce per 1,000 gallons of water. When water is added or foaming occurs, defoamer should be added. The best results come from using a defoamer once a week.
Ponds, fountains, and statuary can all benefit from this material.
Koi Worx Defoamer is completely safe for koi, goldfish, wildlife, pets, and plants to use.
If you have a birdbath, garden pond, or ornamental pond in your yard, we have a variety of pond cleaners to keep it clean and muck-free. Koi and goldfish can be kept in any of our garden pond products.

Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use hot water with this?

I don't believe so, what about a hot water pond?

There is a lot of conflicting information about dosage. One says 1 oz per 1,000 gallons of water, while the other says 2 oz per 300 gallons. What is the significance of this distinction?

I use 2 oz per 300 gallons as directed on the bottle. For about a week, it works perfectly. Every 7 to 10 days, I dose my pond (approximately 800 gallons). 10 days. My water plants are flourishing, and my koi and ornamental goldfish (numbering in the dozens) are happy, healthy, and fed well on this diet.

After a year of splashing, I've developed a white residue on the surface of my standing waterfall. How do you clean a stone that has been turned to look like it has been painted fiberglass white?

Mineral deposits will not be removed by Defoamer. You'll need to use a product designed specifically for removing minerals from fiberglass.

Dimethicone is the active ingredient in this product. ?

No idea. It's designed for use in koi ponds and is "safe for koi, goldfish, wildlife, pets, and plants," according to the manufacturer. It's what I use for my fountain, and it's fantastic. As soon as possible! I recommend you give them the name - a phone number: 888 697 2626

It's fantastic! I would strongly advise you to try this! We have a 400 gallon water feature with a decorative waterfall connecting a small upper pool to a much larger lower pool
5/5

We keep the pond clean, but it can develop a lot of surface foam, especially right after we use the garden hose to top off the water level. The foam will last until the pond is drained and refilled, if not longer. br>br>At first, I was wary of this product, owing to my previous poor experiences with hot tub de-icing. I didn't think I stood a chance against the foamers. My apprehensions turned out to be unfounded! This product is almost unbelievable in terms of its effectiveness! I pour about an ounce near the pump's inlet, and the pond is foam-free after five minutes! How? It's almost as if it's a miracle. I believe the package suggests reapplying every week, but I only did it once. Apply as soon as more foam appears, which in our pond can take weeks. This product has exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend it to anyone who has a foam problem! In fact, I'm writing this review because I'm about to place an order for a new jug of this stuff. It's fantastic!.

It is effective and long-lasting
5/5

For my 6000-gallon pond, I purchased two defoamers. This one, unfortunately, uses the entire bottle in one application, but it did keep the foam at bay for a couple of weeks. br>Another one can be used multiple times, but the foam usually returns the next day. Overall, I prefer this one, but it is also slightly more expensive. br>For those who are annoyed by the "oily texture" it leaves behind. Do you find it appealing. . . Why don't you use filters? If you don't, I suppose you'll have a problem. The oily appearance appears to me to be minor, and it usually fades faster than the foam. It does happen from time to time. But, once again, it was not an issue for me.

As a result, your water will be highly reflective, making it difficult to spot fish
3/5

So, as I'm re-organizing my life, I thought I'd share some of my When I read the online instructions, I discovered that there is some conflicting information. On the bottle it says 2 oz per 1000 gallons, but online it says 1 oz per 1000. br>I used it and it did get rid of the foam right away, but it also left a horrible film on top of the water and white chunks all over the place for the first two days. It's very reflective, and it's becoming increasingly difficult to see my fish. Definitely not a fan and will not be using this again; in fact, I'll be spending this weekend emptying, cleaning out, and refilling my pond because it doesn't appear that this nonsense will go away on its own. br>I'm surprised this hasn't been brought up by more people.

It starts working right away
5/5

The water in my koi pond became clear after I changed the sands in my filter, but there was a lot of foaming. I was manually removing it every morning with my skimmer net, but I wanted to give this product a try after seeing it on Amazon. It says 2 cups for my 4,000 gallons, but I only used 1 cup because the bottle is so small, and I wanted to give it a try first. My pond became clear right away, with no foam left on the surface. So you don't need to put as much on it as the instructions suggest; half of what is specified in the instructions will suffice.

It's very quick! When I switched to rain water in my 7' x 4' x 18" water garden, it began to bubble up so much that I assumed some detergent or soap had gotten into it
5/5

But I discovered that rainwater can bubble like that for a long time, so I bought some defoamer. The bubbles vanished in seconds after I poured a capful of this milky liquid into the water. The speed with which this product functions is incredible! Just to clarify, there are currently no fish or plants in the pond, only rain water, as I recently replaced the liner.

It really works
5/5

I put it in my freshly cleaned water fountain. I filled it up after cleaning and staining it, and when I turned it on, it foamed. So I put exactly the right amount in each bowl, and the foam vanished in an instant. My birds are delighted to drink from it again because it works well and quickly.

It only takes a capful or two to get the job done
5/5

In our back yard, I built a small waterfall with a pond that occasionally formed foam. This defoamer appeared in the search results, and it received positive feedback. They were right on point. The foam vanishes in a matter of minutes.

Water becomes extremely cloudy, with white clumps remaining
3/5

Our fountain has been severely harmed. We have a large fountain with a statue that uses a small pump to pump water into a pitcher. The water was crystal clear, but about half of the surface was covered in foam. This Defoamer seemed interesting, so I decided to give it a shot. It removed the majority of the foam, but the water is now extremely cloudy, with white defoamer clumps on and near the water's surface. I'll have to refill the fountain now that it's been drained. This is a truly terrible product.
