Questions & Answers
It's a pond mixer that aids in the eradication of cattails and lily pads.
Because Crystal Blue is a surfactant that aids in the chemical's adhesion to the plant, I would use it in conjunction with the foliar spray rather than alone. On water lillies, I use CatPlex and Crystal Blue Plex Mate together because the majority of the leaves are submerged in the water, and I don't want the chemical to wash away with the wet leaves.
I don't think so, because I use it for cattails and lily pads in my 3-acre pond.
There's no reason why it shouldn't be. This aids herbicides in clinging to plants that aren't submerged in water.

It works well at keeping the chemical on the leaves, particularly those with a water-repellent surface. Of course, not all weeds would require it. I discovered that for highly water repellent leaves such as clover, I needed to use twice as much, or 2 teaspoons per gallon. When used at that rate, it performs admirably. A liquid detergent could achieve the same result, but it foams excessively when mixed, and foam does not work well in a sprayer.
Second bottle I bought,br>br>Works great to blue mark what I spray as I go, ensuring efficacy of use of expensive herbicides, as well as accuracy of placement as I go, especially when spraying in the sun, but cap leaks,br>br>Manufacturer needs a much better cap that is leak tightbr>br>So I switched to a better sealing bottle, a small plastic bottle that is leak proof, but I have put on,.
For my lawn, I mixed this with some herbicide. I could tell the difference right away, despite the fact that I had never used anything like this before. With this in the solution, the herbicide worked much faster.
This was added to CATPLEX to help it penetrate the pesky Cattails that grow along the edge of our pond's shoreline. Using Catplex without it is a huge step backwards. Our only recommendation is that you add some agricultural blue dye to the spray so you can see where and how much you're spraying.
I use it in a surface application and it works great. I'm excited to try it out in a water application and figure out the disbursement, as I previously stated. There are a few ldpe systems that I'm working on, it's just a matter of figuring out how to mix the Plex mate with the herbicide water in a mixer or if you're just going to make it in bulk and distribute it.
The flip top cap depicted in the photo is not included. It's significant because this product costs the same as other brands that are two times the size; in other words, 16oz bottles of non-alcoholic beverages are readily available. For the same price as this 8oz bottle, you can get an ionic surfactant. Only the flip cap, which appears in the image but does not come with it, could have justified it.
I put a couple teaspoons in a gallon of Catt Plex solution and it seemed to work. It works similarly to dish soap in that it helps the Catt Plex stick to the plant while also breaking down the waxy film that forms on the surface. I'd say it helped because the cattails dried up and died in a matter of weeks.
Glyphosate only works on waxy plants like cattails because of this magic. I used the Catt plex, but it's much better now that this has been added. Next year, I'll increase the amount of surfactant in order to keep it on for longer.
