At Montana State University's Center for Biofilm Engineering, it was put to the test to see if it was effective. The results of the tests have been released. This jetted tub/hot tub cleaner removes dirt and grime from your tub.

Questions & Answers

When I use this, I'm a little concerned about the toxic smell. What is your personal experience with this, and do you believe it is safe to use?

My mother is extremely allergic to chemicals, particularly their odors. Cleaning products make her sick very easily. I haven't smelled this product because I just ordered it for her, but she swears by it and claims it's the only thing she's used on her tub that was strong enough to clean the jets thoroughly, removing any mold that might be lurking (another thing that makes her sick) without making her sick from fumes. As a result, the odor appears to be far more toxic than it actually is, at least in our experience. Or it could be the result of a reaction with something nasty that's being removed from your tub's pipes. Or did you get a faulty batch? All I know is that Mom, with her superpowers, is a force to be reckoned with. sniffer is a firm believer in it and refuses to use anything else.

Is it only used when the water needs to be changed?

I've only used it in a jacuzzi tub, so all of the water has been drained. I'm guessing you'd want to drain the hottest because of all the scum it produces. Some websites provide instructions on how to use a hot tub in the form of a downloadable pdf document. I hope this information is useful.

Is this stuff ok to use in a septic system?

Yes. It is not harmful to septic systems.

Is this suitable for use in a 600-gallon hot tub with a vinyl liner? Is the liner going to be harmed as a result?

It's also for use in a hot tub, and there are no warnings that it shouldn't be used on a vinyl liner on the package. This is exactly what we're looking for. It's also not gritty in the least.

The use of a hot tub is mandatory
5/5

This is a product that I bought and used on our hot tub, and it does exactly what it says it will: It gets rid of slime build-up. up from inside your hot tub's plumbing We have a spotless, clean tub, and I take great care of it, but this cleaner got rid of a lot of the gunk. From now on, I'll be using it to drain and refill our tub. br>br>It's very simple to use the product; Simply add a teaspoon or two to your tub's water and turn on the jets. Thick foam forms on the surface after about ten minutes, with brown biofilm slime visible within the foam. Cleaning up the slime, on the other hand, takes some effort. As you clean your tub, the deposits form a ring around it. If you clean around the hot tub's edges as soon as the slime appears, it won't harden and will require scrubbing to remove. I was able to get rid of everything, but wiping it off as soon as it appeared would have been easier. The inside of the tub will need to be thoroughly cleaned to remove the Ahhsome cleaner, but you should do this every time you drain and refill your tub anyway. I can see why the material sticks to the pipes now that I've seen it harden on the walls of my tub. br>br>When I cleaned my hot tub, I took out all of the jets and soaked them separately. I didn't see it mentioned in the directions, but I figured it would help prevent slime build-up. It would help with the flow of the material out of the plumbing if you put your hands up on the jets. Also, there are controls on our tub that divert water flow to various jets, and you must circulate through them all. Yes, it is correct: br>br> Your tub has slime in it, and this product will get rid of it.

Everything else I tried didn't work as well as this
5/5

I put them all to the test. I have a 14-year-old Caldera Tahitian hot tub. Over the years, I've given this tub a lot of attention in terms of cleaning and maintenance. I had a problem with cloudy water last year, as well as a scummy yellowish slime around the waterline that I couldn't get rid of. I also noticed that the suction in the filter area was low, as was the circulation pump for the ozonator. I was about to give up on the tub after numerous drainings, cleanings, vinegar, cascade treatments, and other deep cleaning products. I came across this product and after reading all of the reviews, I decided to give it a try. I'd just finished a week of 7 gallons of vinegar and a two-day flush with cascade and a few other products, which I thought had done a pretty good job based on the slime it produced. I drained and refilled the container before using this product, and WOW, the amount of slime it produced, even after numerous cleanings, was amazing. I was astounded at how much of this stuff remained in my tub's tubing, plumbing, and pumps. When all you need is a few teaspoons of this blue gel in your tub before draining and refilling, you'll save hundreds of dollars. br>This morning, I noticed that the jets and circulation pump were producing significantly more pressure, and that the suction in my filter area was significantly stronger. It had to be extremely clogged inside! br>Here are a few pointers that I found helpful when deep cleaning with this product. br>1. Hose down the sides of the tub when it's draining. This also aids in the deflation of some of the foam.
2. As the water level drops, make a 1/8 tsp solution of this product to clean the scum line. The scum line in the tub is almost always at the top. This scum is like sticky glue, but if you use the diluted mixture, it comes right off. I simply dipped an old disposable rag in the mixture and wiped it clean.
3. When using Ahh-style pumps, add a sanitizer to the tub. Some. In my bathtub, I used nearly a gallon of bleach.
4. While the tub is running, toss in your filters and allow them to float and spin around. I was concerned that bumping around inside the tub would harm the filters, but they were fine and came out spotless!
5. I stick my hose down the filter area, turn it on full blast, and push out the last remaining water to be drained just before all the water is siphoned out of the tub. br>I wish I had known about this product years ago because it would have saved me a lot of money on the other products I tried. br>Instead of using other brands, vinegar treatments, or cascade, I recommend using this product in your hot tub. It performed far better than any of the other options I considered. My tub is brand new in appearance and operation! Thank you! br>br>.

Keep trying: This item is going to work wonders for you
5/5

This product is fantastic, and the company has always responded quickly to my concerns and questions. We had gunk coming out of our tub's jets, just like other reviewers. I spent hours researching and testing every cleaner that was mentioned on the internet. I spoke with Kohler, the manufacturer of our Tea for Two jetted tub, as well as various plumbers and authorized Kohler tub service representatives, and no one had any advice other than to follow Kohler's manual and clean the tub's plumbing weekly with Cascade and Clorox. I'd been doing it religiously for years, but there was still something wrong. Nothing seemed to work. I even had the water tested by a company that does pool testing for municipalities. The water from the jets tested almost at the legal limit for live contaminants, much to their and my surprise. The only thing they could think of was running Clorox through the jet system and leaving it in overnight. I tried Ahh- because I was desperate. I did it four times in a row, and the gunk was still there. Over the course of several months, I ran the Ahh- Repeat the cleaning procedure at least 20 times, using half of the container each time. The black/brown stuff eventually turned light green/beige, and the company assured me that green was good, that the biofilm was gone, and that what I was seeing was actually residue from the plumbing system. Given the specifics of my tub and water supply, the company recommended that I run Ahh- To feel safe about using the jetted tub again, mix some with 3/4 cup baking soda. The company recommended that after taking a jetted bath, we add a pinch of Ahh- For the next 14 baths, run the jets for 30 seconds to clear any residue. This appears to be effective. Here are some suggestions to prevent others from becoming germphobic maniacs as a result of this heinous problem: Follow the instructions on the company's website; if you need help, call and speak with a knowledgeable representative. Also, keep in mind:
- Our issue started when we stopped taking baths in the jetted tub as frequently as we used to due to now-resolved issues. We still cleaned it, but biofilm began to form because we didn't take jetted baths on a regular basis. We stopped using it once we saw the gunk, which made the problem worse. When water isn't run through the jets on a regular basis, the gunk builds up.
- According to the company, using Cascade weekly as directed by the manufacturer can cause some buildup, making it more difficult to remove the biofilm. Cascade, which is used in dishwashers, is clearly not designed to clean jetted tubs, according to the company. I'm not sure why Kohler insists on recommending it.
- This item is the result of a lot of hard work. The man who sells it used to own a swimming pool company and had the product made after customers requested it. He promotes it because he believes in it, and if you contact the company, he will answer your questions and assist you in resolving even the most frustrating jetted tub issue. br> I believe that many women enjoy relaxing in a jetted tub, and we find it especially repulsive when our safe haven turns out to be a germ factory; fortunately, there is a simple and safe solution. I'm a regular Amazon shopper who enjoys reading customer reviews, but I've never taken the time to write one myself. This product has proven to be so effective, and the company has been so helpful and informative, that I felt compelled to share the solution with others who may be experiencing similar anxiety. Try it. You'll be glad you took the time to do so.
