I didn't see a pinhole, but there must be one because there's a slow leak that I can't find.
That is precisely what I intend to do with it. I decided to use it after conducting extensive safety research. PETE is the highest-rated food-grade plastic, followed by HDPE.

Over the years, I've built a few dozen ponds and worked with a lot of liners. I've never used a liner like this before. It's quite rigid. Even after sitting in the sun for 75 minutes on a 75-degree day, Despite the fact that it had been a warm day for several hours, the liner remained stiff and difficult to work with. It's not as flexible as high-quality liners of any thickness. Even 45- mil liners (more than twice the thickness of this 20-millimeter liner) mil liners) are far more convenient to work with. At times, it even felt like it was going to split or crack. I was going to return it, and I still might. There's a reason it's cheaper than the competition. It's a much lower-quality product that will definitely hold water at first, but I expect this liner to last a year or two before leaking due to seasonal temperature changes.
The thicker ones are less pliable. I bought it because of the thickness, but it disappointed me a little. It fulfills all of its promises. It measures 7x10 inches and is thick. However, I gave it a four-star rating because it was not very user-friendly. I centered it on top of the hole we dug. Then I started filling it up and smoothing out the bottom and sides. Because the liner was not pliable, there are some areas where it does not sit flush against the hole edge. There are a few spots where the liner and pre liner are separated, and the full water didn't help. Because of its un-strength, bending or folding it was difficult. the flexibility Both sides of the liner are gleaming black. It's fine in and of itself, but because the liner is slippery and slick, it's more difficult to cover with gravel or pebbles that slide right off and into the water. After a lot of wrangling, I finally got the sucker into shape. It turned out well, so I give it a four-star rating.
This isn't a pond liner, so don't get your hopes up. It's nothing more than a large piece of plastic. This will not withstand pond conditions and will need to be replaced far more frequently than a real pond liner. You have the option to return it at any time. However, because I work 60 hours per week, I never have time to do so. If I had the time, I could have bought one in the store, so I'm out of luck on my refund. I also have this plastic to dispose of, which will take up space in my trash.
This liner is extremely rigid and easily punctured. Because of the stiffness of the product, laying the liner in a depression dug into the ground with a curve resulted in huge wrinkles that were difficult to fold. The product was also brittle, breaking when a rock was thrown at it from a height of only four feet. Repairs were attempted, but the leak was discovered.
I was concerned that it would be too stiff to mold in my pond, particularly around the waterfall steps, but it works once all of the rocks are in place. Also, if my dogs go into the pond, it will be very durable.
BUYING IS A MISTAKE. br>It's simply a larger trash bag that's difficult to shape into a pond. Ponds are completely unusable.
It's thick and pleasant. Extremely long lasting. For a few months now, it has held the water without issue. It hasn't been pierced by my turtle.
It was purchased for a different purpose, but it has the feel of vinyl rather than the rubbery material used in most pond liners. This isn't something I'd put in a pond. It does not appear to stretch or be pliable in any way. It has a lot of rigidity to it. If I had known what this was, I would have spent the additional $10 at Menards.
