Questions & Answers
It's very similar to Firestone roofing material, except that the Pondgard material is made with fish-safe chemicals instead of the hazardous (mildew and fungus-resistant) chemicals used in roofing liners. Never use a roofing liner as a pond liner. Your fish will become ill as a result of it.
I recommend a 25' x 25' pond in order to achieve the recommended 2' overlap all the way around. You will only have 1' on one side if you choose a 20' x 25'.
A 50ft x 100ft liner is required for this size of application. Your entire feature will fit inside a liner of that size. Thank you very much!

Unfortunately, that is not a standard size, and liner is shipped in 5-foot wide increments from the factory. You could safely install a 25x30 liner with plenty of room to spare, but that would significantly increase the cost. I would recommend reducing the width by 6-inches. You could then squeeze into a 20x30 liner by increasing the width by 8 inches or decreasing the depth by 6 inches. The second point is that you must have this liner. It's a thick, heavy fabric. Working with him is both a chore and a pain in the neck. 20x25, in particular. I decided to build this amazing raised KOI pond in our back yard, which is 10 feet wide, 12 feet long, and 3 to 6 feet deep, with a built-in upper waterfall tank. Approximately 7000 gallons /- Everything went well the first time around, until I realized the first line was too short(2020) after the fact, because I didn't account for all the folding and how it shrinks the size you have (which is already short). I figured that since the issues were high enough up, some good gorilla water tape and such would be a good fix, but it wasn't. After a few weeks, a corner appeared to be split, and the rest was history! After I realized I'd made a huge $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ My pond needed to be re-thought! That the summer heat had already begun, and that working in 110-degree temperatures is one thing, but working with a large black liner is quite another. So after a few months, I decided to tear out the first liner and order the correct size based on helpful advice from a pond company on how to properly measure. I had no idea you needed to add so much to your measurements, especially for a raised pond. They strongly advise, and I agree, that on a raised pond, the liner should overhang at least 2 feet to allow for folding corners and settling. The excess can then be trimmed; I was surprised that after filling and letting it set for a week, even at 20x25, I still had 12 inches of overhang the second time around. There used to be a good 2 feet of snow on the ground. But it's up and running now, and there are plenty of plans to improve it in the months ahead. As you can see, the walls are cinder blocks that are far from smooth, but I did reuse the old liner to add extra protection to the walls. Other than a, no other liners should be used. Rubber liner (45). Other than that, they're just tarps. I am very pleased with the product; all you need is a few people to assist you in opening it and positioning it in the manner you desire. You will be a happier person if you unfold all of the packing folds before installing it.
The rubber lining appeared to be in good condition. I used a Firestone liner 20 years ago because the kit liner was too small. The rubber liner lasted longer than the pvc. Never a single drop of water leaked, not even at the first sign of trouble. I took out the old liners and saved a piece of the Firestone liner to use on another water feature. This liner will go in the new pond, which will replace the one I built 20 years ago. I'm overjoyed to be able to enjoy my water garden once more! On-time delivery exactly as promised.
Numerous reviews stated that it was a job for multiple men due to the weight and difficulty in handling it. This made me a little nervous. I can't help but laugh now that my project is finished. I'm a 5'2" 120 pound woman, and it took me an hour to get it from the delivery truck into a 5 foot deep hole, unbox it, lay it in place, and start filling it with water. It's not difficult if you use common sense, and it's extremely durable and flexible, and I'm confident it'll last for years. I had no trouble cutting holes for the inlets, and there was no tearing. This liner is incredible, and I can't say enough good things about it! The product is fantastic!.
This is my third purchase of this product, which I'm using as a cover for a concretekrete bag-built dam (stacked 50-pound bags of quickrete cement to form an 18' W x 6' H dam). Despite being exposed to the Texas weather, it has held up exceptionally well. It hasn't hardened, faded, cracked, or torn in any way. The rubber is still pliable. I've also put it to use on my barn - The outside of my barn is flooded due to heavy rains. 2 feet below ground and 2 feet up the barn wall The flooded barn is no longer a problem.
Given the weight (135lb), shipping was also extremely quick. br>The liner is extremely durable, with no holes, flaws, or other flaws. I'm very happy with the seller!.
So far, this liner has lived up to the hype. Flexible and long-lasting. Over a PVC liner, this is the way to go. If you know what you're doing, it's simple to set up. Only the bottom of the pond has a liner; the waterfall portion of the pond will be lined with an old PVC liner. As mentioned in previous reviews, there is some very small writing on the liner, but it should not be visible in a deep pond. For better filtration, we lined the pond with rock and field stone. In their new 4700 gallon pond, all of the fish are happy and safe. With the waterfall and surrounding landscape, the finishing touches are still to be added.
It was installed the day before yesterday. 165 pounds was the weight. Extremely powerful. br>Will see how long it lasts.
04. 2020br>Liner is a five-star product that I will definitely purchase again. It's been ice and freeze down here in upper Indiana, and it's held up well. Thx guys.
I purchased it because it is thick and heavy. It took four of us to get it into the pond in a reasonable amount of time. Underneath, I used an old carpet. I haven't had a single leak, and the amount of water evaporation has been surprisingly low. While smoothing out the liner and filling the pond with water, it was very easy to work with. I'd buy it again if the need arose.
