Thank you for your inquiry. The powdery glittery stuff is talc powder, which is used to separate the layers of the liner during the manufacturing process. It is completely safe for you, as well as any plants or fish you might add to the pond. Despite the fact that it gets everywhere, you should dust off before entering your home after handling it. Thank you for your inquiry. Probably isn't a bad thing to do. There are a lot of people who sell this product, and they might keep it near chemicals that aren't completely safe. It's difficult to comprehend your situation without knowing about your installation. If you're using the same lining material (PondGard PL45-), 1515), it appears perplexing. The liner I used for my Duck pond was very flexible and long-lasting. Despite the fact that I had to cut holes in the liner to allow for drainage and re-circulation, I haven't had any leaks in my circulation pipes. Around the holes, I applied Butyl rubber sealant. You must have a gap somewhere. It's impossible to say what caused it. I'm sure a manufacturing flaw in the liner or a puncture during installation are both possibilities. So far, the material I've used has proven to be faultless. I can only recommend a full pump out/drain and inspection as a possible solution.
Yes, it is one sheet with a factory seam because all liners have factory seaming to increase length and width when manufacturing liners larger than 10 feet wide; no aftermarket seaming is available. Directly from the manufacturer, everything is in one piece.

is self-evident, and well worth the money! This is the fourth and final line of my monologue. Don't waste your time and money on budget liners if you have a pond or are planning to build one. You will pay a higher price in the long run if you save money up front. Due to the weight of the water, budget liners stretch and fray, becoming brittle. It'll be completely demolished in two or three years. What an ordeal in terms of logistics! The PondGard site is a great place to start if you're looking for The 45 is much, much heavier, and the quality is immediately apparent. It was five years ago that I should have made the switch! My "water hogs" will likely be relieved to no longer be confined to an ice chest.
This is my second pond project; the first one was made with a plastic liner from a big box store. It was difficult to work with in colder temperatures, and it was easily damaged and degraded when exposed to direct sunlight. After a few years, insects ate holes in it in a couple of places. This time, instead of saving a few bucks, I decided to invest in EPDM. What a stark contrast! Regardless of the temperature, this product is supple and stretchable. When I put it in, it was 45 degrees. It's easier to shape around irregular objects and tuck into square corners because of the pliability. The difference in thickness (45 mil vs. 50 mil) is significant. It's made of 12 mil plastic, which means it'll be more resistant to punctures from underlying rocks and debris. The only minor disadvantage is that the product will be covered in a protective powder that must be washed off before use.
It only took three days for the lining to arrive. It was unpacked and left in the sun for a day to remove any power residue (as mentioned in other reviews). The liner was thick but flexible, making it easy to mold to the shape of the hole we'd dug. We had an old above-ground liner on a previous pond. It lasted for nearly 5 years before becoming brittle and developing holes. This is a much thicker liner, and I anticipate it lasting a lot longer.
This product's quality is out of this world. It's a bit heavy to work with, but with a name like Firestone, you know it'll last. All I know is that I'm pleased with this product overall, and the best part is that it doesn't rip while you're installing it. It's also extremely malleable and simple to shape. Overall, I give it five out of five stars!.
This group does not make me happy. It wasn't until after it was installed that I noticed there were at least two holes in it. Only if I return the item will I be given a replacement. I'd have to completely undo the pond I'd started in order to do so.
For the past six months, I've been using this liner in my fish pond. It has already leaked twice. I had my previous liner for three years and had no issues with it. I only replaced it because I wanted to make my pond bigger.
What you pay for is exactly what you get. The finished product is fantastic! For my pond, a friend recommended that I purchase this. Thickness is about 2mm, and it's a breeze to work with. It has the feel of a big rig tire tube. The only disadvantage is that it is quite heavy. I bought a 15x15 that weighs around 80 pounds, but I'm not complaining because that just means it's of good quality. All other liners feel like a tarp, but this one does not, and you can tell the difference in quality. I strongly advise you to do so.
If you want to build a trouble-free pond that won't need to be redone in ten years, this liner is exactly what you need. I have a feeling the liner will outlast me. I had to replace a vinyl liner that was only ten years old and was completely worn out. This is the second pond I've built with this liner, and I won't use anything else in the future. The fish are overjoyed!.
