Questions & Answers

What is the number of cases in a box?

It was not offered by the case, in my opinion. I ordered two, and they arrived in a box with two.

Is this safe to use in my vegetable garden as irrigation water? Thanks! ?

Yes, I use the pond to irrigate my garden.

Is this something that could be used in a small garden pond? I have a filter and fountain that drains into a brook made of flagstone. What if I don't want my stones to be blue?

Yes, a small amount will suffice. Until you like it, don't dye your stones.

We bought this dye and it's fantastic in our pond. When my wife swims in it, she is concerned about how it will affect her hair. Is this something you can do?

It won't color your skin either once it's been put in the water, unless you're blond. Just kidding, it won't color your skin either once it's been put in the water.

Aids in the control of algae and the maintenance of pond balance
5/5

In 2016, I purchased a home with a 1. 5% down payment. Pond with a surface area of one acre. Duckweed had taken over the pond. We discovered a thick layer of algae underneath the duckweed (which is a nightmare weed). I installed a solar aerator that was treated with Diquat, pond dye, and bacteria control. The pond has a fantastic appearance in 2018. This pond dye is used once a month to treat the pond. Because the amount of gunk and algae in the pond varies, the color does not remain consistent. I order a gallon of dye and pour it in as soon as I notice algae. Within a week, the algae will have vanished. br>br>Bass, blue gill, catfish, and red ear sunfish are all in my pond. They are all active and appear to be happy in their surroundings. br>br>Note: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "creative Sonar AS was the only way I could get rid of duckweed. It's pricey, but it's effective.

This and Aqua Shade are two products I've used
3/5

This and Aqua Shade are two products that I've used. This dye solution isn't as powerful as Aqua Shade, in my opinion. You have to use a lot more of this product to get the same effect as Aqua Shade with less product, so I'll stick with Aqua Shade even though it's more expensive. That's why this dye cost less.

That the product works, as opposed to this one, which clearly did not! I used Algaecide Herbicide Colorant by Applied Biochemists with great success in 2017 and 2018
3/5

This season, I decided to try this product because it was an "Amazon Choice," which has always meant a lot to me when making purchases. After trying this product, I'm going to buy the original version today. It was a complete waste of money. The Aquashade was in effect for the entire season. The visibility is clear three weeks after using this product, and the weeds have gone insane. It was disappointing to see that it received an Amazon Choice rating.

Just as good as a more expensive product, and it appears to perform as well as a more expensive product I've been using for years
5/5

Keep in mind that you can always add more dye, but you can't take it out with any of these dyes. Simply measure the area to be covered and strew it around the pond's perimeter in multiple locations. Wait an hour and then add more if the color isn't right. These dyes are very effective at preventing the formation of floating algae mats because they prevent photosynthesis with the algae on the pond floor, which would otherwise float to the surface as mats. All wildlife will be safe. br>Update: I just wanted to add that after three years of using these dyes in my 3/4-acre pond, the muck on the pond bottom has significantly decreased, and the water clarity is better than it has ever been in the 40 years since construction.

I used two gallons of the product on my two-acre property
3/5

When I used two gallons of the product in my two-acre pond, the water color did not change much. I placed an order for four 1 gallon containers and received four of them. This should have been enough to dye as advertised, according to the instructions on the container; however, I have given the dye three days to work and it has not done so. Only two of the containers remain, and the remaining two gallons are being debated as to whether they should be returned or added to the pond as well. br>I'd be grateful for any suggestions. br>br>According to the instructions, one gallon per acre 4 to 6 feet deep is required; however, my pond is two acres and four to six feet deep. Four diffusers provide aeration to my pond. Due to the dry weather, the pond is now two to three feet low.

WEAR GLOVES AND USE VERY CAREFULLY! We purchased this for a massive waterfall/pond water feature on our new property (it's a couple feet deep in the center, with about 30-foot of water flowing through it)
5/5

There are 40 fish in total, with several levels and tiers. The previous owners had neglected it, and it was filthy and overgrown with algae when we moved in. We had tried a variety of products, purchased a pond vacuum, and were constantly skimming the surface. and couldn't seem to keep the algae under control, so the pond was always brown/green and smelled bad from the stuff on the rocks at the bottom. I only used about a cup, but it was WAY too much- The pond is now far too dark and phony blue in appearance. Next time, I'll start with a much smaller amount and increase as needed. I didn't put on gloves, so it got on my hand and stained it for a few days. It also splattered on a rock, staining it. So, now that I've learned my lesson, I'll pour small amounts into the upper section and let them flow down to avoid staining the rocks. But. It looks so much better now that the icky water color is gone!.

So far, everything has gone well, but it has been raining in my town for the past few days
5/5

So far, so good, but it's been raining in my town for several days, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow for the sun to shine brightly before I can "see" how blue the water really is. Water appears darker when the sky is dark and overcast. In Florida, tomorrow is forecasted to be sunny, so let's hope our pond is a lovely, inviting blue! The size of our pond is one acre. reaches a depth of 12 In the middle, there is a 15-foot gap. I drank two full jugs of blue. If the sky isn't quite blue enough for you, It's possible I'll need to place a second order. The delivery was prompt and the product arrived as promised. Safely packaged. When the rain stopped the first day, I poured the first jug in from the dock. A HUGE lightening bolt appeared at the end. A thunderclap unexpectedly erupted. I took a leap of faith For the next few days, I had a blue face. Pour with care, follow the directions, and wear gloves or old clothes if there's a chance of spilling or splashing. When the sun shines again in Florida, we'll post pictures! Update: It's not quite as blue as I'd hoped, but we have a large, deep pond. I think I should've ordered more than two, but our pond is now so high that we have an overflow pipe that drains water into ditches near our dirt road. Because water is rushing out of it, I don't want to order another one until the water level returns to normal. Our pond is approximately one acre in size. a significant depth The water is a dark blue instead of the clear sky blue I was hoping for. I used two jugs, but I'm not sure if I used too much or not enough.
