I was planning on planting a small garden but didn't want to waste time and effort digging small holes. This earth auger dug perfect holes for small plants, about two inches wide. connected to a cordless drill and drilled holes that were deep enough in a matter of seconds I was able to save time and avoid back pain as a result of this. It comes highly recommended.
Previous research has shown that in difficult soils, caution is required. Set the stall torque on an electric drill with a clutch torque setting to a low value. When confronted with roots and rocks, he flipped the script and cleared the path with other garden tools. br>It was a fantastic tool. Without a hitch, I planted over 300 Pachysandra plants at a depth of about 5"! br>br>John br>br>John br>br>John br.
This worked well in loam areas, so I'm guessing it would work in similar soils like topsoil and marl as well. It's also a safe bet that it wouldn't sell in hardpan. I used it to make holes in the ground for narcissus bulbs.
The auger was too short, and it wouldn't fit my ice auger's power.
Wonderful.
Very nice product.
I bought it to plant bulbs and can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can try it.
The product was incorrectly advertised. br>Won't fit a 3/4" shaft because the inside diameter of the opening is 3/4". br>I'm going to come back.
