This auger was purchased to work with my Earthquake Model 9800K 2-. Kohler Powerhead is a type of showerhead that is used by a single person This auger, like the powerhead, is a beast. However, spare grade 8 bolts for the auger should be kept on hand because the original bolts bend easily and shear off after a few hours of use.
This was purchased for our Tanaka one-man auger, which we use in our landscaping business. Although the connection was not a perfect fit, my machinist was able to create an adapter for me, which works perfectly. I'm very happy with my purchase, and I'm thinking about trying some of their other diameters.
I am an Illinois-based contractor. 95% of my business consists of constructing decks on new walkout style houses. I've had this auger for a little over a year and I absolutely love it. It rips through the ground at breakneck speed. To keep the auger from diving too quickly, I usually lift my head slightly while drilling. In my opinion, this is a great problem to have. I can't express how pleased I am with the product's quality.
This 12" auger was too big for my single-person motor drive to turn. For this, you'll need two people and a big motor. Aside from that, it appears to be a good auger.
It requires a two-man power head, as the one I have isn't powerful enough to turn it after only a few inches in the ground.
This has made installing hundreds of feet of fencing much easier than the alternative. We were initially sent the incorrect part, but once we received the correct one, the job was completed quickly.
It performs admirably. China is the source of this product. I would have bought something else if I had known it was made by Chicoms.
For a pole barn, this was used to dig 24 four-foot-deep holes. My Harbor Freight post hole digger was very happy with it.
