When I was moving and buying boxes from U-Haul, I came across this tape for the first time. Haul. It adheres well and, unlike clear shipping tape, does not dry out, become brittle, or fall off over time. Because you can simply rip it with your hands, it's ideal for moving boxes. There are no scissors or cutters available. Because I spend all of my time trying not to lose the end, I'm annoyed by the sound and "wafty" nature of standard plastic tape. This tape is quiet, sticks well, and I don't believe it contains any plastic.
