Hi - I'm passing on the "normal" because this tape is quite wide; instead, I purchased one of the originals, which comes with a simple plastic dispenser and works perfectly. This is, without a doubt, the most excellent tape. I've used it for two massive moves and it only takes one pass - It's incredibly strong and wide, so it perfectly conceals the box seams. It is also extremely quiet and does not emit the typical screeching sound.

I suppose I'm reviewing the Gorilla Tape Tough and Wide REFILL 2 pack, huh? If this were a review of the Gorilla tape itself, we could go into great detail about the benefits and drawbacks, but this is a review of the two-pack. So, let's take a look at the two-pack. br>br>I DID GET TWO ROLLS OF THESE- tape with the title It was a shrink-wrapped package. br> wrapped. It's genuine Gorilla tape, to be sure. br>br>All kidding aside, it's a MUCH better deal than buying two more tape rolls that come with the orange dispenser that can be removed. The two-pack costs $12 at the time of this review. 77, whereas a single roll with dispenser (reusable dispenser) costs $10. br>This two-pack refill was only $9 when I bought it. 74 on 9/4/18, so the price may drop from where it is now. br>br>Once the roll is empty, removing it and replacing it is INCREDIBLY simple. Because the dispenser's legs are soft, you can easily pull them open to remove the old tape roll and replace it. br>br>In terms of this tape, I really like how wide it is. I ship boxes several times a week, and this tape completely covers a box's seam, even if you don't start it in the middle. It's also good to use Gorilla tape because it holds up really well. GO TAPE SOMETHING: br>br>Have a wonderful day and GO TAPE SOMETHING: br>br>.
In the 18 months leading up to my move, I've ordered this exact tape several times. It's been fantastic every time I've bought it before. I had no trouble with the tape adhering well to a variety of boxes because it was thick and super adhesive. The additional cost was well worth it. Until now, that is. br>br>This time I ordered it, the tape was much thinner, and I've had problems with it sticking to or lifting off of several boxes. It's now essentially the same as any other cheap tape I can find. It's extremely disappointing because I'll tell you that I've always loved it, but this time it's a huge letdown, and I'm afraid they're cutting corners, making it unworthy of the much higher price than other tape. It's a huge letdown.
The fact that this tape will not fit in a standard tape gun was the first strike against it. Okay, so that could have been noted by looking at the size; the local stores do not stock a dispenser that will fit this tape. As a result, I made the decision to use it by hand. This tape did not adhere any better than the cheap bulk tapes I had previously purchased! I had high hopes for good adhesion, but I was let down. I'm not going to buy anything else.
For our next purchase, we decided to give Gorilla a try, and wow! We wish we'd had this when we were packing the 100 boxes we'd already completed. This stuff clings to your skin like glue. The other brand, on the other hand, does not have this feature. Plus, because of the wide width, only one strip of tape is required on the box, rather than two or three with poor adhesion. So, while it's a little more expensive, you'll get a lot more bang for your buck because you'll use a lot less. The red brand should be avoided if at all possible. Take the Gorilla route!.
There isn't a single other brand that compares. It doesn't get any better than this! I've been boxing and packing for weeks because I'm selling my large home after 26 years. I've tried almost every brand of packing/shipping tape on the market, and none of them compare to Gorilla in terms of performance. It was not only wide and adhered well, but it was also simple to apply, saving a lot of time when compared to other brands. The biggest issue I had with the others was that if the tape backed up on itself, it could take a long time to find the start and get it going again without it shredding. I squandered so much time and became so frustrated with all of the other brands that I had to abandon some roles. I'm so glad I found Gorilla at last. I didn't want to run out of packing materials, so I ordered more on Saturday night, and it arrived early the next morning! That's a deal you can't pass up.
I've bought this wide Gorilla tape several times because I like it so much. Although I wish it were less expensive, the quality is always excellent. The tape and adhesive are both thick, and the width allows for an even, secure application with just one strip. Because it is slightly thicker and more substantial than its thinner competitors that simply lay down with gravity, I have found that I do need to secure and adhere the strip to its surface on occasion. It generates a more reliable seal than most.
The HP260 tape comes in second. br>br>I also like the width, and I'm surprised at how much it affects how much I use (which I probably do). tape). br>br>On the down side, and this is why I docked a star, while the price fluctuates wildly, it's always an expensive tape to use, and you can get a lot more bang for your buck elsewhere. for- the- To save money, simply use more tape that is less expensive.
This stuff is fantastic! It's strong and wide, so you only have to go across the seam of the box lid once (I usually have to use three strips with regular packing tape). once to close the box's lid, and twice more to widen and strengthen it. ) The only problem is that it's quite costly, and the rolls are so small that they're quickly consumed. As a result, stock up on extras. The extra money is well spent on this tape!.
