There were four rolls of tape in a shrink-wrapped package when it arrived. freezer tape was written on the bottom of the wrapped wrapping. br>However, when I opened the package and took a roll out to use, I discovered it was ordinary masking tape. It was a 3M 101 product, but it wasn't freezer tape, just plain masking tape, as I discovered when I went to the 3M website. If I had needed masking tape, I could have purchased it from Dollar Tree for $1 per roll. I've tried using masking tape for freezer tape before, but it doesn't work well in temperatures below freezing. br>Don't throw your money away!.
I went out and bought some freezer tape. Masking tape was clearly labeled on the back side of each roll when I received it. It's not worth the trouble to return the tape, but if you're looking for freezer tape specifically, you should look elsewhere.

I'm going to send it back to you! This isn't freezer tape, so don't waste your money on it. This is not microwave safe, and it will not stick to the freezer. Before ordering this, I wish I had read the one-star reviews. Others have described it in the same way. It's low-cost masking tape with a 3M value tape label on the inside. It will not stick to any of the freezer paper I use. I'm baffled as to how the total number of stars is greater than four. Is there a new product? This isn't freezer tape, and Amazon shouldn't sell it as such. It's misleading marketing. It would have been better if it had been done beforehand. Days when I could leave my house to return this for a refund were few and far between.
We've been using this freezer tape for years and haven't had any problems; many reviews claim it isn't freezer tape, but it works great in the freezer. In the year 2020, I discovered a lamb rib roast labeled 2014 in the freezer. The tape stayed put for six years, and the lamb had no freezer burn because it was wrapped in plastic before being wrapped in freezer paper. This is a fantastic freezer tape. It's something we order on a regular basis!.
