However, I recall reading these reviews before purchasing this item, knowing that I wasn't completely convinced that I should purchase it. So let me say all of this to help others who may be in the same boat as me two days ago. . . br>br>I wish I had taken a picture before shipping out all ten boxes today because it was the first time I had ever switched from Scotch to a new company for packaging tape, and I have to say that I would now choose Gorilla Packaging Tape over Scotch ANYDAY. This was the strongest, highest-quality tape I've ever used (and I ship a lot of boxes on a regular basis). br>br>Here are a few of the outstanding features of this item that I have discovered to be unique to Gorilla's Tape vs. Scotch:
- The dispenser is made of a durable, well-designed material. behind the blade is a specially designed roller that aids in the straightening of the blade. The tape is easy to apply; The only Scotch Packaging tape I've ever used (as a comparison) has never had a roller like this, or even a roller at all! (CLICK ON PHOTOS FOR MORE DETAILS!) )
- The dispenser is thicker, more durable, and all in one piece. It's difficult to explain, but Scotch dispensers have a holding area made up of two dividing pieces connected by a clasp so that rolls of tape can be taken out and put in, but I've always had trouble keeping these dispenser parts in order when taping things, and it irritates me to no end. Thank goodness, this Gorilla Dispenser doesn't do that or have a design that resembles it. BUY THIS if you understand what I'm talking about, and if you're annoyed by the same Scotch issue.
- The tape is a When trying to tape large things/boxes, the dispensers are wider, so they cover a lot more surface area. If I had stuck with Scotch, I would have used roughly half the amount of tape.
- Any Scotch dispenser is far less sharp and durable than the BLADE. Please be careful with this because it could cause injury. On the other hand, I didn't have any of my usual problems with twisting/overlapping the tape or wasting it because this blade only required a small flick of the wrist instead of a whole arm's worth of effort (. . . sorry Scotch). br>br>I feel like I've been missing out on this tape my entire life, which is a strange statement to make, but I packaged and labeled 5 boxes in under 5 minutes today because I used this tape for the first time. When I was able to complete my work more quickly and easily, I felt much more productive. br>br>I apologize for the lengthy review, but I believe this section of the review needed more positivity because this tape is deserving of the attention. IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY. CAUTION! br>br>Ok, watch the video; it's really simple, right? That is, until you understand what is going on. You basically have to pull the tape, very difficultly, and then cut; you cannot just put it on a box, press anything, and start taping; I needed my WIFE to hold the box closed, and it took, no lie, 20 minutes; in fact, I went to return it and they just said keep it; it's a POS; don't buy this unless you fully understand what it entails; and good luck when it sticks back to the roll; that's FUN!.

I can't seem to get enough of it. It is true that it is not inexpensive. I'm hoping for a price reduction in the near future. But, for me, it's well worth it. This tape is extremely strong and sticky, and because it's extra wide, you won't need to apply two or three strips across a box to get it properly sealed.

The tape is quite strong, and I like the width of it. It's being used for moving and appears to be holding up well during the loading and unloading process. br>br>The dispenser, not the tape, is the most serious problem. After about 40 rolls of tape, gunk/residue builds up on the inner section of the dispenser, making smooth dispensing nearly impossible. Hopefully, it can be redesigned so that the buildup isn't a problem, or at the very least, it's easier to remove.

That was two months ago, and I still have about six more tomatoes. I'm in love with it and will never buy anything else. The gorilla is at the top of the list. As far as I'm concerned, I've been sentenced to death. Thanks for the gorilla tape, I also got the liquid in the bottle and the double sided tape, which I used on one part of my light and it stuck to the top, making it difficult to take down and reassemble the light. The width of this tape makes a lot of jobs easier, like covering labels on boxes, closing things up, etc. Tape is nice and thick. Tape is way more than Although the adhesion could be improved, it isn't any worse than any other packing tape. Use caution when using the plastic dispenser: Because the tape cutting edge is extremely sharp and aggressive, I've covered my cutter with a flap of tape. However, I've already gone through a number of rolls. I'd suggest it.

The razor-sharp cutter should be handled with caution. The dispenser is extremely difficult to use. I would not buy this product again because of the razor sharp cutter that is exposed. Tape is prone to splintering as well.

It is simple to work with. We've moved twice with the tape, and nothing else comes close. The end is never lost. It has a tendency to tear. It's a strong material that's also simple to work with. Last week, we ran out of Gorilla Tape and were in desperate need of a few more boxes. We went to a big box hardware store and purchased the only brand they had. It was both more costly and more difficult to work with. We kept losing the end, and it didn't stick as well as it should have. In the future, I will only purchase Gorilla tape.
