There is a size limit of 3 inches and you can put as small as you like. This model cannot be used with 2inch tape because it is rated "up to" 3Inch. This is the 2 inch size you need. Yes, you will not be purchasing a device that goes up to or close to 3 inches. Rather, you will be purchasing a device that only goes to 3 inches. After spending 2 extra bucks and wasting days trying to find a device that accepts 2 and 3 inches of tape, I now have wasted my time and money trying. I apologize for wasting your time with your salesman description. It is obvious that the writer of this description has never used a tape gun in practice.

I love this dispenser! I used to have a dispenser that would pick up the tape on the roll and slide it onto the core of the device. The tape with this product does not wander as it feeds through a slot that has walls on both sides, so it can't slip and wander. There is no waste of tape in this case My previous dispenser did the same thing all the time. You don't have to worry about the fact that this dispenser doesn't have a "core" to mount the roll of tape, so don't worry about it. I am looking forward to spring A loaded tape holder (a single metal rod) not only holds the roll of tape very well, but it adds a good amount of resistance to allow you to pull no more tape than you need. I would have liked to buy 3 more of the tape guns even though one of the safety tabs broke off (snapped in half by lifting the tab by my finger after dropping), but they are so easy to use, that I'm buying 3 more! It is a gun I'm going to keep, no matter how many times the tab snaps again! Please be careful not to cut your fingers. Close the yellow safety tab after use to prevent injuries.

The guy who handles sample distribution is in charge of sending samples out to clients. It took me 2 tape dispensers to ship the package. Quite frankly, the last device was incredibly frustrating, it never worked right, always spun out a bunch of extra tape when you tried to make the swift move to cut, as it never would. With the ones I had, I spent a lot of time and energy unhappy with them. The cutting blade on the last one was bent. AWESOME! This is one of the best. Two more tape dispensers were purchased as backups. I don't think tape dispensers can get much better than this.
