No, they aren't water resistant. They aren't sticky either. Purchase them at your own risk!
Unfortunately, these sticky tags didn't work for anything I tried them on, including a balloon arch, cardstock paper, and simple ribbon... not a good product.

I had used these to make a mural out of all of my holiday cards. The wall is ordinary drywall that was painted two years ago with a standard semi-gloss paint. paint with a high gloss finish The first card ripped off not only the paint, but also some of the drywall when I removed it. It took a long time and a lot of effort to get rid of all the cards. Despite my best efforts, I managed to rip the paint/drywall three times. The cards couldn't be saved because they were damaged beyond repair. During the removal, everything was damaged. The best method was to use steam from an iron instead of heat from a hair dryer, which simply melted the adhesive.
Every single wall in my brand-new house has been destroyed by these tabs. So disappointed and sad. I peeled the paint all the way down to the sheetrock.
I had to take everything apart and put it back together again. Three days after I first hung the poster with the sticky tack, I re-hung the poster. It also ripped a large swath of paint off my wall. The only reason we bought this product was to keep the walls in our rented house in good shape. It was extremely disappointing to have the sticky tack remove the paint. Trying to remove the paper from the double-sided tape was also a bit of a pain. It took a lot longer than I expected to hang things because of the double-sided disc.
This item DOES NOT REMOVE CLEANLY FROM THE WALL! I had a few things on the wall with these, and while they adhere well, almost every single one of them took paint and drywall with it when I took them down! Not only do I lack a secure means of securing items to the wall, but I also need to repair the wall. I'm very dissatisfied with a product that claims to remove itself without leaving a trace. This is a product that I would never recommend.
They don't work the way they say they will. Make a financial plan. These do not hold items in place as advertised, and they do wear down furniture finishes. Because I missed the return window, I was unable to recover my funds. If these don't work for you, look for another option.
It removes your walls' paint! I was extremely disappointed.
It works well with cardboard and wood, but not so much with rubber. Just a warning: this is a very tough adhesive on walls; chunks of the wall came off on some of mine, so be cautious when removing it. Large picture wooden picture frames should be held up with a couple of these because there is a lot of support in terms of weight, as long as it is reasonable. The only change I would make is to make the paper covering (the circle side) a little larger than the tacks to make them easier to remove and apply for large wall decoration projects.
I bought these to replace my regular museum putty in order to keep framed artwork from moving around on my wall. They've turned out to be very useful for securing lamps and other decor so that my kitten can't knock them off the table. I'm sure I'll find plenty of other uses for these as time goes on.
