Questions & Answers

Are you attaching the magnetic sheets to cardboard or just using them without removing the backing if you're using them to store framelit dies?

I use an 8 to hold them. I use a 5 x 11 hardboard and cut the magnetic sheets to fit the number of dies I want to put on the board; then I put the board with the dies inside a plastic page protector and store my dies in a bin or, if they're holiday dies, in a 3-ring binder. I have a ring binder that I keep in the closet. These magnet sheets keep the metal dies in place very well; I haven't lost one yet!

Is there a white covering on the adhesive back of these? Is it simple to get rid of?

I usually stick the magnet sheet to a piece of chipboard and use it to hold my crafting dies because removing the white piece that covers the sticky side is simple. That's where these come in handy.

Is it possible for these to bend? I'm looking for something a little more firm. ?

They're tough and don't easily bend. Adhesive is fantastic, and I use it in all of my crafts.

Which of these sheets has the highest Gauss rating?

The magnetic's power was sufficient for me. I'm a crafter, so I needed them to hold my die cuts in place while I used them for other things. They've never let me down when it came to doing what I asked.

Selected User Reviews For Marietta Magnetics - 25 Magnetic Sheets of 5" x 7" Adhesive (30 mil)

The 30 mil strength is ideal for storing craft dies
5/5

I've bought these a few times to keep my various die cutting machine metal dies organized. It's critical to obtain the 30mil because it's strong enough to prevent dies from falling off the magnet. The 25mil is insufficiently durable. The magnet is sturdy, with no creases or flaws in the edges, and is of good quality. I'm really happy with how well they stick to smooth surfaces (I haven't tried them on textured ones yet). Some of the sheets have also been cut into smaller pieces. Cutting out shapes or smaller sizes requires a strong pair of scissors, but it's simple to do. br>I purchased a cheap clear acrylic picture frame and hung one of these sheets inside. I can now place the dies I'm using on the magnetic sheet, reducing the chances of one falling to the floor or getting misplaced among my paper scraps or in the trash. Especially the dies that are so small. The dies do a good job of staying in place. The stronger the magnetic hold, the more metal that comes into contact with it. The cutting side of the dies should be facing out. I have a lot of Stampin Up Metal dies and stamp sets that go with them. These sheets are designed to fit inside the Stampin Up Clear Cases. The magnetic sheet is adhered to the labeled side of the box, which is opposite the side where the stamps cling. The stamp set label hides the magnetic sheet backing, which is protected by a piece of thin cardboard between the dies and stamps. With my stamps, I usually have enough room for all of the coordinating dies. It saves a significant amount of room. I use an empty SU Stamp box and mount a magnetic sheet to both sides, then put paper inside the cover to hide the back of the magnetic sheets if there are too many for a single magnetic sheet. Only a few of my die sets don't fit in an SU stamp storage box. I enjoy having all of my stamps and dies in the same place. It saves you from having to remember the name of the die set that goes with a stamp set. I also don't have to waste time rummaging through a drawer full of dies. It also aids in the prevention of a die set being misplaced. Using these magnetic sheets with the SU stamp cases is less expensive and bulkier than many of the other magnetic die storage products on the market. These have a good grip on the surface. I had some that were crooked, but I was able to remove the sheet, adjust it, and reattach it. However, they stick very well, so make sure to correct any errors as soon as possible. There haven't been any magnetic sheets that have fallen out yet. The dies will separate from the magnet if the box is shaken or dropped. These are of excellent quality and provide a cost-effective solution for die storage. These are what I tell my crafty friends.

These are by far the best magnetic sheets I've ever bought
5/5

These are by far the best magnetic sheets I've ever bought. They're where I keep the metal diecuts I use to make cards. They have a lot of strength and durability to them. There is no slipping of the dies. As an alternative, I was using vent coversbr>3 in a pkg from a big box home center (which I found to be flimsy) because they were cheaper. As a result, I had no choice but to accept the drawbacks, i. e. Because the dies were easily slipping off the magnetic sheets, I had to purchase plastic sleeves to store them in. The cost was very reasonable with these. You'll get 25 points. I'm going to tell all of my crafty friends about it. It's a win-win situation in this case. You get a better product, more sheets, and a better price, which means I can now afford to redo my entire storage system.

Good condition, but there are some scratches
4/5

These are where I keep my papercrafting thin wafer dies. I peel the paper away from the adhesive backing and adhere it to white cardboard of the same size (also from Amazon). They're a good, strong magnet that keeps the dies securely in place. My sole gripe is that because it's never happened to me before with other brands- is that when I try to slide the dies across the magnetic top (while removing them), the dies scratch the magnetic surface. I guess the other ones I've used have a glossy coating that prevents dies from scratching them- They don't stick to the wall as well. Yes, I intend to purchase more of these- Unless I come across some that have a glossy finish.

Excellent value for money
4/5

I bought the magnetic sheet to use with my die-cut set, and it worked perfectly. I think they're a little too soft, but they did the job I needed them to do. I also used some as a magnet for my to-do list notepads, which stayed put on the fridge without issue.

Organize your metal dies in style! This is ideal for organizing my metal dies! This item is extremely durable! I'm confident in my ability to handle them without the dies coming loose, - even the little ones and the magnet is strong but not excessively so
5/5

These were the best after trying a variety of thicknesses and sizes, and they fit perfectly inside the envelopes I purchased. They've made my day! (I haven't tried using the adhesive side yet, so I can't comment on its strength. ).

Sticking to vertical surfaces is difficult
3/5

Removed the sticky sheet from the back of the dies and placed them on the magnetic side. On new plywood, firmly press each sheet, particularly the edges. A few days prior, the plywood had been painted. Overnight, I left the board on the table. On the wall, I hung plywood. A few sheets, as well as dies, fell to the floor within a few hours. All 50 sheets will be removed and contact cemented by my husband. It will be a VERY time-consuming task that will take days to complete. At the very least, we'll use contact cement from the beginning for the final 25 sheets.

Overall, I am very pleased with the product
5/5

It is heavy and of excellent quality. These were purchased for our annual Christmas greeting cards, which we will send out to family. We attached our 5x7 photos to them, and everyone who received one was very pleased with it. They remarked on how nice the magnet was, how thick and heavy it was. However, they were quite costly to ship from a shipping standpoint. I'd buy these again, but in a smaller size, because the magnet and the adhesive for sticking the photos on were of excellent quality.
