My favorite color is pink, so I purchased it. I hadn't considered this- It's difficult to remove when I use it on white surfaces, and residue remains. I'll buy white when I run out, which will be a long time.
I put two small pieces to the test by hanging a calendar, which has some weight. The calendar was easily held by those two pieces. I hung it for a year and a half. I left it on for 14 hours before removing it (as a test to make sure it worked). Both my painted wall and my calendar were easy to remove the putty from.
It actually works!.
It's a little cheesy, but it's effective. I used this to paint plastic models, as stated in my title. Normally, I'd go to the dollar store and pick up something similar for a buck. Well, for $6, I got as much as I would have gotten from the dollar store brand, but these are a little too "soft" for me. It's a little too malleable for my needs, but it'll suffice for the time being. As a result, I'd like to point out that after use, this product leaves a residue. If you plan on keeping the poster up for a long time, this would be ideal; however, if you only need it for a short time, I'd recommend looking for something a little more solid so that there isn't as much residue.
I live in an older home with textured walls that are odd because they are plaster or paint over plaster. All of my gaming posters are hung on this stuff, and they haven't moved since I put them up. This is a great alternative to regular clear tape, which was not working.
I used it to organize my beads. I have a drawer system and needed a way to show the beads while still being able to easily change them out, so I used tack to show the beads on the actual drawers, which worked perfectly.
This is one of those items where it's better to spend the extra cash for the name brand because these don't perform nearly as well as the name brand and are a waste of money. Nothing can stick to my walls because they don't want it to. My daughter tried to use them to stick some pictures to her wall, and I have textured walls in my room, which it wouldn't stick a poster to, but the name brand did. I thought I was getting a good deal with these because they contain more and are less expensive, but it was a waste of money. Purchase a name-brand product.
This is something I really enjoy. It not only secures pictures to the wall, but it also ensures that they remain in place when they are cleaned. If you live in an earthquake-prone area, it's also useful for figurines that need to stay put.
