It is best to buy the big heavy duty stapler if you will be stapling really thick stacks, 25+ sheets. Unless you're limited to that amount, then you should buy medium It is too much for a stack less than 25 sheets to use the heavy duty ones.

It used to run on a similar model for 5 years before eventually stopping working. With this in mind, I've ordered the same model in an effort to get another five years and then some out of it. There was no need for it One thing I've noticed is that, while looking like a PaperPro stapler, the name Bostnich appears on it - What you see on the picture is not what you get. Please see below. I am so happy to see this. Staplers that are designed to punch out 100 sheets usually have a manual stapler, which means you must carefully press one through each sheet of With this one, you can use it much more easily since it's spring assisted. You will be pleasantly surprised by the punch. This is a great product.
The spring assist makes it easy to staple thick documents with little effort, however its reach is limited. I rarely need staples further in than the edge. If you are just stapling at the edge, that is no problem.
It looks like they sent a Bostitch in place of a PaperPro. It does not staple even one sheet of paper, I'm not sure if that is the problem or not.
My guess is that this thing doesn't know how to do When I've had large staplers before, they behaved just like any stapler - are easy to handle and work well. As you staple paper, you push a staple through the stack. There is no comparison between the Stack Master and the Stack. In the middle of pressing down the lever to force the staple into the stack, you notice that the thing just fires the staple through the stack without contacting it. In other words, the lever force does not increase, so it is impossible to push the staple through 100 sheets of paper with enough strength. Using this method, it seems to require fewer staples and less force than using a regular stapler on five sheets.
Despite its size, this stapler can staple thick papers together with ease, and with an easy push, it can be used on desktops as well. In addition, it is capable of taking different types of staples, which is nice the “kerchunk” you hear is a powerful indicator of how powerful this machine is.
