We recommend pulling the staple tray all the way out with your hands (don't be afraid to use a little extra force). The staple tray does not fully pop out on its own, but only enough to allow you to grab and pull it out by hand; this is normal and not to be concerned about. The staple tray can be a little stiff at first, but the more you open it fully, the easier it will slide back and forth.
Hello Betty, the stapler has a quarter-inch opening. I stacked 27 sheets of 20 bond paper and stapled them all together at the same time. I tried 12 sheets of 3 X 5 cards, and the staple easily passed through them. One eighth inch is the margin I've set. However, if a person desired, the margin could be larger. Regular staples are what I use. I didn't try using cardboard from a breakfast food carton, but I don't see why it wouldn't work as long as it's less than one eighth inch thick.

Yes, absolutely! This is what I bought for the same reason, and it hasn't disappointed me yet! I was also looking for a way to get rid of the repetitive stapling motion, which was causing my arthritic hands pain. My stapler is my favorite tool.

It became inoperable after a few months. I simply emailed the seller to inquire about any warranty or repair options, and they promptly sent me a replacement in less than 24 hours after receiving my message. I suppose an automatic stapler is an automatic stapler, but customer service deserves all those five-star ratings. (Also, are my middle school students the only ones who are ecstatic about automatic staplers? What's going on here? It's like a caveman finding fire, I swear. ).
I help teachers with their busy work and projects at an elementary school where I volunteer. I had to staple 36 packets last week, each with three manila folders. By the time I finished, my hand resembled a crab claw! I bought this stapler for future projects, and it's fantastic. It's a great tool that's also very easy to use. I had trouble finding an on button at first, but once you've put in the items you want stapled, you're done! It's held together with staples. It's also light and compact enough to fit in my bag (I never leave anything in my project room because it vanishes-- not this cute little one! I'll update after a few more months of use, but I just wanted to give you guys a heads up. So far, my purchase has exceeded my expectations! Due to stapling large amounts of papers, my hand is no longer a claw. I'd also like to mention that when I contacted the manufacturer with a question, I received a prompt and excellent response. It's wonderful when you buy something and receive excellent service; if only every purchase could be as enjoyable! br>*Revised: 12/12/17 I had a problem with my stapler because it wouldn't work with batteries. By Monday night, I had contacted the company via the website and had a brand new stapler in my hands. This has left me speechless. Throughout the stealth process, they were nothing but pleasant. Buy from these people if you want to be blown away by their service! I'd also like to point out that this has been in use for a few years. I volunteer at swim meets and am sometimes required to staple dozens of thick files in a single day. Every single person who has tried it has expressed an interest in purchasing one.
We liked this stapler when we first got it, but it jammed after about 8 or 9 months, and the staple drawer wouldn't click back in, so we couldn't use it. I attempted to contact the company for a replacement because the stapler is said to have a lifetime warranty on the listing, but I never received a response. I suppose I'll have to go with a different brand of stapler. This product or company would not be recommended at this time.

representation that is false. So I purchased this product (an Amazon Choice) in the hopes of receiving a high-quality, user-friendly product. I'd like to use an electronic stapler to help with my hand disability, which prevents me from using a manual stapler. I was disappointed when it arrived because it didn't appear to be very sturdy, but I held out hope and prepared it for use. We mostly used it for small projects and home recordkeeping, and it worked fine until it jammed. We tried everything we could to get out of the jam. But it was in vain. We eventually removed a metal piece of a staple that was dangling in the stapling area, thinking it was a jammed staple, but this had no effect on the stapler's functionality. It has ceased to function. To make matters worse, the business has yet to respond to my email. Amazon's policy states that vendors must respond within two days, but it has been eight days and no response has been received. What does Amazon have to say about it? Furthermore, according to the product description: "If your ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend has a boyfriend or girlfriend, If your 25 ever breaks, simply contact us for a free, hassle-free replacement. " If you're lucky enough to ever speak to a human being, that is. Representation that is false. It's a bad company, and Amazon has made a bad decision.
And I've had quite a few of them. I am a third-grade teacher who has used a variety of staplers throughout my career. Electric staplers appeal to me because they are simple to use and cannot be carried around the room by students. I've used a number of staplers that cost twice as much as this one and do not, in my opinion, meet the same high standards. This stapler is fantastic in my opinion! It's easier to use than other staplers I've tried (third graders have a learning curve), and the ability to put the paper in deeper to adjust where the staple goes is a great feature. True, it's just a stapler, but staplers are an important part of my classroom, and this one is, in my opinion, the best electric stapler I've ever had at any price.
