I had one of these for a long time. On 1 page or 40 pages, it staples neatly and cleanly. br>I only used Bostitch premium crown staples and have never had a problem with them. br>After about 8 years of use, the stapler began to fire a staple every couple of hours, so I no longer use it. I'm considering purchasing another stapler, and I'll most likely purchase one that is identical to this one. br>I was enthralled by it.

It's loud, but not excessively so considering how many papers it's stapling. My workplace, on the other hand, isn't exactly serene.
NOTE: When I tried to use the B8E electric stapler at my school, I was perplexed by the same question. When the big top button was pushed, nothing happened because the stapler was jammed with STANDARD staples. To see what was going on, I had to unscrew and remove the entire cover, pull out the slide, and remove the staples. Standard staples are too wide, but close enough that an unfamiliar person might not notice, so I scribbled on the stapler, "USE ONLY B8 STAPLES." " Those who do not have jammed staplers may be perplexed by this problem, as the staple magazine pops out when the button is pressed - Unless they're stuffed with Standard staples, that is.

75 times per day is the average. After a few months, the first unit failed and needed to be replaced under warranty. The second unit lasted about the same amount of time as the first, and it was still covered by the manufacturer's warranty - Using staples provided by the factory, there was constant jamming. This stapler isn't designed to staple 50 sheets of paper, according to customer service. We were going over its design parameters 75 times per day. What? So, if you only want to staple a few times a day, this should suffice; however, if you have work to do, skip this one. Also, I wouldn't buy the staples in the 5000 pack; you won't get that far.
I carefully read the instructions first, only to discover that the stapler's 5,000 staples can only be used to staple up to 20 PAGES! You'll need to order more and bigger staples if you want to staple up to 45 pages (as they advertise). This seemed to me to be a complete ruse. Why advertise a stapler that can staple 45 pages and claim that staples are included, only to receive staples that are too small to do the job? br>I informed Amazon of the situation and offered them a choice: either Bostich send the necessary staples or I return the item. br>If there is a satisfactory outcome, I will update. This type of bait is extremely effective. It's infuriating to use and-switch! br>br>UPDATE: br>br> I've been waiting for Bostitch to contact me for more than ten days, but they haven't. As a result, the rating of "one star" remains unchanged - If that was possible, it would be "0. ".
Two people have died in the last two months. br>br>We bought our first one for the store where I work for more than $100, NOT including tax, from a brick and mortar store about 5 years ago, and it served us well for the majority of that time. br>br>I'm not sure if Bostitch changed their manufacturing process or just made a bunch of lemons, but the ones on the market now are just shoddy knockoffs. br>br>Purchased around the middle of the year. November, first one died early January (roughly 10 days after return window closed)br>br>Thinking it was a fluke, I bought another a few days later in mid-January. Jan. br>br>As I write this on March 3, 16 days after the deadline, I am dying. br>br>And, in case anyone is curious, we only use Bostitch brand B8 "PowerCrown" staples, so either the unit is junk or it needs to be replaced. the- It'll be broken if it's in a box or if it's held together with Bostitch staples. br>br>It's time to try something new.
I bought it for my office, and a lot of people have complained about it. I regret not returning it when I had the opportunity. For a stapler that is supposed to staple up to 45 sheets, the paper insert slot is quite small. Because the slot is so small, it will staple the sheets of paper and become stuck. When a coworker tried to staple fewer than 45 sheets, the stapler stapled, but she couldn't get the paper out, and the stapler just kept stapleing! It had to be unplugged in order to remove the paper, which wasn't easy! This is not a good idea.
We use it on a regular basis, and while you can hear it, it isn't what others have described. We haven't had a single failure since we started using it. br> If the need arises, I would purchase again. br>As of about a month ago, the stapler would fail intermittently, completely at other times, and even when you weren't near it - The alarm sounds. I contacted Bostitch and requested a return form, which I printed and mailed to them. It's been over a month since Bostitch has contacted me. This item cost $47 and was purchased on March 12, 2018. It was in service for about 5 MONTHS. It had not been harmed in any way. If Bostitch does not respond, I will change this review to "Completely unacceptable," as the relationship lasted only 6 months. Waiting? br>WELL, it's finally over! Despite the fact that I had not heard from Bostitch in a long time, yesterday (10-1) I received a message from him. I got a package in the mail this year. I received a replacement stapler from Bostitch! This one is a little different in terms of design and shape, but it's been plugged in and appears to be working properly. I'm hoping for a good outcome! Bostitch deserves praise for their persistence, which I greatly appreciate. Because of Bostitch's response, I'm raising my rating to 5 stars. They were aware of the situation. Thanks - I'll let you know when the new stapler arrives.
IN ADDITION, there were advertised staples that were missing. I thought I was getting a new, unused, and undamaged item when I bought it. When the item was sent, the shipper was clearly aware that the box had been damaged. The outside box was not harmed in any way. The product box, on the other hand, was in a plastic bag and torn and battered. The stapler itself was covered in dust, as if it had been sitting on a shelf for some time, and it wasn't wrapped in plastic. The small tray that attaches to the bottom of the stapler was loose and broken when it arrived. I've included photos and a video in this post. It was a huge let down. On top of that, the stapler came without any staples. Even if it wasn't broken, I couldn't use it. With this item, Staples was also advertised.
Despite the fact that, like nearly everyone these days, I handle almost all of my correspondence electronically, I find myself in the unusual position of having to print out and hand-edit documents on a regular basis at this point in my life. Many of them are at least 20 pages long (and sometimes much longer). For me, this power stapler fulfills a need. The ability to print a 30-page document excites me. page document without having to worry about my unaided stapling efforts resulting in a crushed and unsightly mass of the little metal boogers clustered in the upper-right corner. A mauled sheaf of papers in the left corner. NO MORE! Now all I have to do is tuck my neat bundle of papyrus into the accommodating and oddly badass slit at the bottom of this hulking little device, and - BOOM! A neatly-folded piece of paper emerges. My red pen is ready to be stapled into a stack.
I wish there was a way for me to give this 0 stars. It's completely absurd. It cost me $40 because we needed to staple a month's worth of receipts together, and it's the worst office product I've ever owned. To get the papers into that small space, you must concentrate and hold steady, which may not be an issue with letter size papers, but anything smaller or lighter than that is a chore to use. I was trying to reload staples for the first time, and it would not, could not, and would not open. It's a waste of money, and if anyone reads this and still spends $40 on something that's worthless, I'm sorry. You're going to be in my position. Despite reading the reviews first, I chose a position.
