Questions & Answers
This is how you can make it more cheerful. When you're designing it, put your image on the screen. Make a copy of it. Then, using the white decal, apply it to the item you're decorating, and then cover it with the waterslide. Then use a clear spray paint to seal it and you're ready to go.
No, you must use an inkjet printer and apply at least two coats of clear acrylic sealer to it. I used the Modge Podge brand, which worked well. When removing water/air bubbles, be careful not to rub too hard, as this will rub the ink off.
Once you've got the water slide where you want it, make sure to push the excess water out from underneath it.

a rusted, frozen hunk of metal She now does an excellent job and has a stunning appearance. br>While this transfer paper worked well, there are a few things to keep in mind before purchasing. br>1. There are no adhesive properties in this paper! None. I used layers of enamel to adhere my decals to Louise's fresh paint; otherwise, it will not stick to your project.
2. To make a workable decal, you'll need to apply several layers of clear spray. If you don't use a lot of clear spray, your colors will run.
3. Clear-background images should be printed. If not, your decals will be surrounded by a white background. Yuck. br>Wishing you all the best!.
This one holds up just as well as the more expensive/well-known brands. It was simple to print, held up well when sprayed with clear spray, and was simple to apply to my items. So far, I've used it for two projects. It's been a pleasure to use, and I strongly suggest it!.
These waterslide decals were applied to painted aluminum that was sealed with Krylon Clear Coat. They perform admirably. Just keep the following in mind: br>br>(1) print on the correct side. br>(2) let the ink dry *fully* before applying the decal paper, and then clear coat it *thoroughly* BEFORE applying it. Use several light coats of clear coat to get a nice even coat that seals the ink in rather than a single thick coat. br>(3) When applying the decal, be patient with bubbles. Squeegeeing out the bubbles without moving the decal around can be difficult, especially if you're using a larger decal. Allow it to dry for a few minutes under close supervision, then work the bubbles out as the decal begins to "grab" the item. It may take a few rounds of letting it dry a little and then working out the bubbles to get a good final product; it won't be perfect, but with a little patience, you can get fantastic results. br>(4) You won't be able to use this on a dark surface. Because inkjet ink isn't very thick, and these decals are clear, the inkjet ink doesn't go on very thick. The brightness of your design will be completely lost if you use a dark background. It will look great when used against a lighter background.
A 50-year-old model kit was given to me by a friend. I had a lot of fun building it, but the decals disintegrated due to their age when it came time to apply them. I only messed up one decal, thankfully. I was able to recreate the destroyed decal because I have a lot of Photoshop experience. Then I went on the hunt for a product to reprint them on, and I came across this produce. I made my first print and followed the directions to the letter, which included spraying three coats of clear acrylic over the print and allowing each coat to dry completely between coats. When I put my first decal in the warm water, it almost immediately curled away from the backing paper. Furthermore, when I attempted to attach it to the model, it curled away from the vehicle. I was angry because I felt I had squandered my funds. Then I realized something else: the decal appeared to be quite thick. I was curious as to how well the decals would work if I only applied one coat of paint to my print. That's exactly what I did, and it worked perfectly. br>br>There are a few things to keep in mind with this product, some of which are self-evident, such as the instructions for baking these decals onto various surfaces. You should never bake a plastic model, despite what I'm sure is obvious. Second, unlike the decals that come with model kits, you will be printing this onto a single large decal. You'll need to trim the decal close to your design before applying it to your kit. Finally, this material is a little thicker than a typical model decal, and the adhesion does not appear to be as strong. After the decals had dried completely, I gave the kit a healthy coat of clear gloss enamel to cover it.
I really like these water slides because they're simple to use and don't crumble like some of the other brands I've tried. They worked out perfectly for my coasters!.
This was purchased for the purpose of making decals for a project I'm working on. It worked for me; I'm not sure why so many people are having problems, but I used gloss Watco lacquer instead of clear Krylon. It only took two coats to complete the job, and each coat dried in less than two minutes. There isn't any need for a hair dryer. For my 5-year-old daughter's nails, I created some tiny decals. br>br> Just keep in mind that if you use clear paper, any image you print with white will appear clear on the decal paper.
Crafting has always been a passion of mine. My husband gave me a cutting machine for Christmas last year, which gave me a lot more options in terms of my skills. I've only recently learned how to use a waterslide. This versatile paper can be used to create almost any image. You can transfer the image to whatever device you want if you can print it with your printer. I watched a few YouTube videos on how to do it and found it to be fairly simple. This waterslide paper is simple to use and transfers images well.
This brand was the polar opposite, and my colors are far more vibrant now! I had no problems with cracking, and I was able to print five images on one sheet of paper, all of which turned out beautifully. I'm completely smitten, and I'll be a loyal customer for the rest of my life. Thank you.
