Questions & Answers
Water-based inks are used in ink jet printers, so no matter what kind of paper you use, it WILL run if you add water. You'll need to use a coating after you print your decal to prevent this from happening.
I received the following instructions. You do not need to reverse print if you have the same decal as I did because you are peeling the backing off as you place the decal on your project after printing.
This type of paper does not have a sticky side to it. One side will, however, be finished differently - It should have a glossy finish and be coated. This is where you will place your image. I hope this information is useful.
It is strongly advised against. It's best to hand wash all of the mugs and plates when using Hayes Paper Co.

As long as you follow the instructions, it works perfectly. br>br>At this point, the instructions are missing an important detail. You must print in reverse image, similar to a T-shirt. Transfer of a shirt. Unlike most water slide transfers, this one reverses your image by going top side down. br>br>As a result, mirror the image or words in the printer settings, and everything else will be reversed. br>br>Be sure to use an acrylic spray to coat the print's surface after it has been printed. For photos and art work, I use one I have from Hobby Lobby, but any good acrylic spray will do. When you wet the paer, this keeps the image from washing off, which would happen if you put the cut out image in water. br>br>I've tried it on coffee mugs and it works fine, though any glass or ceramic surface should be hand washed rather than put in the dishwasher. My wife misplaced it and threw it in the dishwasher, where it melted away. However, the instructions make this clear. br>br>I mostly use this for images on wood, which I then coat with Modge Podge or acrylic. Remember that once the image is slid off, it is not backed with white, so the color of the surface it is transferring to will affect the color of the image. On wood, I use a white pickling stain that serves my needs well. I also sprayed the white pickling with acrylic spray to ensure a smooth surface, otherwise the slide would not stick. br>br>Fun stuff to use for man crafts, and my granddaughter is constantly coming up with new ways to use it. br>br>Print it in a mirro image on an inkjet printer. Apply three coats of acrylic spray to the surface. Transfer after allowing to dry. very simple.

Directions are simple. It was the first time I used transfer paper, and I had a lot of fun with it. loved it! Directions are simple. My final product was fantastic! Thank you very much!.
Paper should be slid to match the printer type. The quality of the paper is excellent, as is the customer service. A word of warning! I only had to print and apply the decals when I used a different brand of laser printer paper (not sure if this is true for all brands). When I printed this paper after soaking it in water, the ink wiped right off when I tried to apply the decal. Then I went to Amazon to write a review for the product and "read" the paper's brief instructions. Before soaking in water, I discovered that Krylon Krystal Clear Acrylic Clear Coat 1303 is needed to fix the inkjet ink. I was fortunate to have Krylon Krystal Clear Acrylic Clear Coat 1303 on hand, as a result of a user error!.
Due to the fact that my usual brand was out of stock, I purchased this from a long list of recommendations. Because of the many positive reviews, I didn't expect anything to go wrong when I received it. When you put this in the water, it becomes extremely slimy. It's impossible to remove it from the backing without the waterslide turning to sludge and the image being lost forever. As always, I seal my images three times. I'd never had a problem until I bought this brand, and it's on every single sheet in this pack. I was dissatisfied with the product and will not purchase it again.
It's exactly like a model decal in terms of functionality. It's simple to use and it gets the job done well. Just keep in mind that the inkjet image needs to be clear coated. I used Krylon triple coat clear or something similar for a couple of coats. At Walmart, it'll cost you $4, and you'll have to wait a couple of days for it to dry. Trim with scissors, soak for 30 seconds, then apply like a decal to a plastic model. To protect the decal, spray clearcoat over it after it has dried. br>With the exception of white, this product allows you to print and apply almost any image, including logos, pictures, fonts, artwork, and more. Basically, anything you can put together in Word or PowerPoint and print on your inkjet (except white) will work. The images are crisp and clear, with plenty of fine detail.
Everything went smoothly! Just make sure to follow the directions carefully, and your image will need at least a few coats of clear acrylic to keep it from falling apart; in case anyone was wondering, it does work on thicker paper as well as the other materials listed. Also, don't cut the image out before applying the coats; the acrylic will soak into the layers, preventing the backing from coming apart.
It was purchased for a craft project by my girlfriend and I, and it worked perfectly. I used it to make candles, and they turned out beautifully! The instructions were simple to follow, but if this is your first time using this type of paper, I recommend watching a video on YouTube.
