After reading some of the reviews, I was skeptical, but I decided to take a chance and try them. br>According to one review, they should not be sprayed with cleaner. Spray it on your towel, then wipe away the dry erase marker, according to the instructions. This was far superior to directly spraying the card and dry erase marker. br>My class lasted two hours, and the dry erase marker was easy to wipe away. I can't get rid of the green marker residue on the card I sprayed directly and then wiped off. br>The cards are made of a thick card stock with a glossy finish. This makes them simple to clean and prevents dust and dirt from adhering to them. The cards, in my opinion, should last a long time and hold up well.
The quality is poor. I bought these for work because I was sick of using paper name tents. The most common criticism is that they do not stay folded. I folded a few and then stacked two reams of paper on top of them for the night, hoping that this would keep them folded in tent shape. However, when I went to set them up the next day, they were barely able to stand. They completely erase, so you can use them again. br>.
These were a letdown for me. We wanted to use them as welcome signs when new customers came into our store. When the cards are folded, they do not stand up; instead, they lay flat again. When we try to clean them, we also run into issues with dried-up dry erase markers. Next time, I'll try something different.
These are being used in my class; I'm not sure how long they'll last with 5th graders, but we'll see. Some people have expressed dissatisfaction with their ability to stand for long periods of time. For the weekend, I folded them and stowed them beneath a stack of heavy books. They are now in good shape.
They don't fold well or stay folded, and they don't "tent" very well.
We've been using them and they've been fantastic. I can't believe they're so cheap! Just make sure you fold them tightly and they'll hold up just fine.
I adore the fact that they're double-sided. They're two-sided, but they can't keep their fold. I'm a guest teacher who uses them on a daily basis because I work in a variety of schools and classrooms and want to get to know the students by name. I've cut them in half before and found that it helps (as well as taking up less space on the students' desks).
I also included one dry erase marker and a piece of magic eraser!.
