Questions & Answers

wedding?

These are simple and straightforward. There are no embossed elements on this card. Weight is average. They didn't stand up well on their own, so I folded them and "pressed" them with weight over night. That was effective. There is no option for no stars, so I gave it a one-star rating.

When I use the template, how do I add pages?

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. I needed to print five pages, so I loaded five sheets of labels into my printer and entered "5" as the number of copies when the printer asked. I'm not sure if I understand what you're asking. Please elaborate if this is not the case.

I downloaded the template and want to enter all 150 different names and print them all at once. Can you only do four names at a time?

In the "Mailings" section of Microsoft Word, you can do this. In Word, create a new document and choose "Mailings" from the top menu. Choose "Start Mail Merge" from the drop-down menu. Choose "Labels" from the drop-down menu. A menu of label options will appear. Page Printers are what you're looking for, and Tray= Default Tray is what you're looking for. Select Avery US Letter from the Label Vendors drop-down menu. Select the Avery product number, for example, 5302 Small Tent Cards, from the Product Number drop-down menu. Click OK. Then, under "Select Recipients," choose "Use an existing list" (assuming you have one). Search for your list (which could be in a database, an excel spreadsheet, or something else entirely; I always use an excel spreadsheet). After that, you can edit the list and use the Insert Merge Field to add the various fields you want to the FIRST label. If you want to, you can "Insert" images or designs. Now is the time to choose your font and font size by selecting "Home" while highlighting the fields. You can now make changes to the document as if it were a regular one. After you've completed the first label, go to Update Labels and then Preview Results to see the results. A single page of labels will be displayed. If everything looks good, click Finish and Merge. Individual Documents can be edited. You now have access to every page in the book. You can scroll down the pages to make sure that all of the fields are filled in (you may have a name that is too long for the font size you selected; if so, you can change it now and it will only affect one label). Simply select "File" and print them after you've double-checked them. You can also save the file if you want to make changes later. I hope this has been of assistance.

DIY wedding escort cards that are both simple and inexpensive
4/5

This product was purchased for the purpose of creating escort/seating place cards for my wedding reception. I was looking for something simple and inexpensive after doing so much DIY. These were ideal for my requirements. br>br>I used the Avery template in Word to create these. com, a spreadsheet with guest names, table numbers, and entree selections, and mail merge. Mail Merge is highly recommended (a tutorial can be found online). It meant I could format a single page and have the data populate from the spreadsheet for all of my records. If you go the Mail Merge route, don't use the built-in Avery 5302 template in Word because the size and alignment are all off. Rather, download the official Avery template and then use Mail Merge to edit it. br>br>It was simple to print these. The instructions are straightforward and simple to understand. My Canon Pixma only had a few sheets of trouble, which isn't unusual when printing card stock on it. br>br>For folding and tearing on the perforated lines, make sure to follow the instructions on each sheet. Fold in half backwards, then forwards. If you print in full bleed color, folding forward and tearing the paper may cause the white edge to 'turn up. ' To fix this, I discovered that smoothing the edges down with my fingernail was sufficient. br>br>I would have given it five stars if a few of the 20 sheets I printed weren't perforated well enough to separate easily after folding, leaving some extra paper (and saggy edges) that could be trimmed with scissors.

Cards that can be printed at home
3/5

We purchased these for my son's Bar Mitzvah, which was attended by approximately 120 people. br>br>I created a mail merge to bring in all the names after downloading the template from the website and opening it in Microsoft Word. I ran a few test pages through the printer after getting the templates set up properly, as I know from past experience that the templates are never correct on the first run, so I ran the sheets through the printer after getting them set up properly. br>br>We have a laserjet all-in-one printer, and due to the thickness of the paper, I had to use the pass-through mode. I also made sure that the paper came out the back, in a straight line, because most printers curl your paper, and the thickness of the paper combined with the heat from the printer will give you a permanent curve. I got a bend in the paper even when I ran it straight through. br>br>After I finished printing everything, we had to separate the cards, which was the most difficult part of the job. Even with the perforated edges, they were difficult to separate, and I had to go back and pull off tiny bits of paper where they did not separate evenly on several occasions. As I previously stated, I used a laserjet printer; if I had used an inkjet printer, I am confident that the majority of the cards would have smeared during the separation process.

These escort/place cards are fantastic
5/5

I made escort cards for my wedding using these tent cards. It was a great success. The cards may be a little thinner than those available from bridal salons and printers. But don't let that stop you from giving them a shot. They'll be totally worth it once you put your own creativity into them. I created my own custom design using the Avery website, and it turned out great. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: I recently shared a photo of my wedding's finished product. Simply click the "View and share related images" link beneath the listing's image.

Ideal for a wedding! These are EXACTLY what I've been looking for
5/5

The printing went without a hitch, and I didn't have to feed the paper one by one. Those who did had to be using a more ancient printer. After converting to PDF, I printed 15 sheets straight through with no alignment issues. I used the Avery website's template design, which was also easy to tear apart, so I did a few at once rather than one at a time. There are a lot of designs to choose from!.

I'm let down
3/5

These aren't very durable! These aren't very sturdy and won't stand up to the test of time. I wish I could return these, but I purchased them a few months ago in anticipation of a wedding where I would require place cards. I practiced with the online templates, which went well, but I was so disappointed when I took them to the printer for a test print. The paper is too thin to support itself without sinking. I'm not sure how heavy this paper is, but my printer estimated it to be around 65 pounds. These tent cards are flimsy and did not stand upright as shown on the box. I had my cards printed on 100 lb card stock and they are perfect. I'm kicking myself for buying so early in the planning process; it's too late to return the unopened box now.
