Questions & Answers
I had a bright blue one. The color of the sky should not be dark or blue A black color. Blue ink that is closer to the classic Shaffer blue.
German ink is used in this product
The answer is yes. The dye used in it is dye-based. There is no way to completely eliminate fugitive dye-based inks from any brand. However, this does not mean that dye-based inks are bad. If you are using them in a letter or journal where they won't be constantly exposed to light then they should last for a long time. If you want them to fade over night, then you must use a "pigment" ink or You will have a harder time cleaning these inks, because they are very harsh on your fountain pen.
The ink from Sheaffer's Pens or Parker Fountain Pens has never bled onto loose leaf papers or spiral bound notebooks, or other paper that is inexpensive. Due to the fact that these inks were used by almost everyone prior to the invention of the ballpoint pen, they had to function with whatever supplies were around at the time.
Selected User Reviews For Pelikan 4001 Bottled Ink for Fountain Pens, Brilliant Black, 30ml, 1 Each (301051)
A chemical reaction occurred that altered the feed, nib, and housing unit to the point where no ink could pass I loaded my Pelikan 4001 -Ebonite Flex nib unit onto my flex pen for weeks and it worked perfectly until I replaced it with an ebonite Flex nib unit from "Flexible Nib Factory" Green is the color of the day I haven't been able to feed the ink through to the nib since then! It gets wet when the feed is fed. The paper loses its crispness if the feed is rubbed on it. It appears that the ink has come There's nothing wrong with the nib, it's just not going through! Basically, the ink changed the chemical makeup of the nib so that it is now hydrophobic instead of hydroscopic. Something has changed with the nib because, for some reason, it does not even carry ink anymore. let it dry and then washed it with soapy water, put it back together, and lightly silicone-coated it The oil was greased The threads and rings have been tightened and it STILL does not I can still use the pen if I put the stock nib unit in it. I have to refill the ink every few pages until the pen runs out. The ink that was used in this ink unit has been installed. After a few seconds, it locks up and prevents ink from flowing. I am guessing that this ink is made specifically for Pelikan pens. I have lost my Penbbs - My pen is a 456, but now I need to buy a new ebonite nib, which is going to cost me more than $30. There was a horrible mistake, and I hate the ink so much.
From my perspective, here is what I believe As for fountain pens, I don't use them My area of expertise is not that. People used to call that fancy cursive calligraphy "copperplate" when they were young. As a novice, I cannot be expected to be Nothing is for sale here. Neither is this about relaxing, but enough about me, anyway. A very important characteristic of the Pelikan turquoise was that it exceeded my expectations in a very significant There is no uniform hue to the ink when it is laid down by the nib. Rather than how it looks in reality, the stroke gets that delicious watercolor look, where some parts of the stroke are much darker than others. As the line goes down to a thread, the turquoise actually has a tiny red or purple edge to it, which I find very attractive. The only way I know of to do this kind of thing is using fountainpen When you use thick calligraphy ink, you get The part I like is the part that starts out i like, but what I don't like (and this only matters if you're using the Pelikan stuff for copperplate) is that it may or may not really come off the pen. There is no doubt in my mind that calligraphers know what they are doing. As soon as you do that upstroke for a small, cursive "h," the line just disappears. Ink is too thin for that spot on the page, so it bleeds through. This means that the ink would be too much of a hassle to use if it happened all the time. I know that sounds simple, but it's not It's not all the time it happens just occasionally enough to produce a reaction, but not nearly enough to make you break your devotion to the beautiful turquoise color with its hints of red and purple. Now, this is my review of the product. If the stuff did well, it would be a real slam dunk I feel like I would dunk five stars if I were doing a flat In calligraphy, the edge is written. The difficulty is that as things stand, this is the case.
As a calligrapher, turquoise has always been a favorite color of mine, but this one doesn't have the same appeal as the old Quink. As a result, it does not stick well to the nib, and I am only able to write about 7 letters before having There were also some Windsor & Newton products I bought During the same time I picked up Newton blue ink, which is a very beautiful blue with a hint of turquoise. It lasts a long time and allows me to write about 24 letters before running out. What the W and what the W&W are As you can see, the color N has a stronger resemblance to what I refer to as "pterodactyl blue" than this turquoise. Even when wet, it feels stiff, so if you use it to address an envelope going through the US Postal Service mail, it is likely to reach the intended destination and still be legible. I don't know. It seems like there are a lot of inks for $13, but the container also looks a little "short" in that it doesn't have the full amount inside. It's a shame I have to return it, but I found a better ink that stays on my nib and stays.
It is an ink that is of a very high quality for fountain pen lovers. My friend only uses green inks, so I gave her this as a gift. In the excitement of opening the box, he was delighted to discover the package. A pen immediately appeared in his hand, so he took out an ink syringe and filled an empty ink cartridge. The friend I am talking about prefers a broad pen for signing documents. The ink is fantastic and I highly recommend it.
There is no red I had hoped for. It is more of an orangey red. As far as all other aspects are concerned, it performed in accordance with expectations. We were pleased with how well the paint flowed, how little bleeding occurred, how quickly it dried. Here is the link to the Pelican ink I purchased. I noticed that Amazon lumps all reviews of Pelican inks into the same collection no matter which color they are, so here is the link to my actual purchase.
