It is smooth and lovely. In addition to its gorgeous color, this ink can also be seen in the fine lines of a fountain pen because its pigments are so rich and vivid. As far as I have tested it on laserjet printer paper, it did not seep through, but I have not done so with While I haven't tried it for calligraphy yet, I've found that my duragraph fountain pen and this ink are great together! (It dries faster than sumi ink at least) It's super smooth and quick to dry. The fact that it's not waterproof can either be a plus or a minus depending on what you intend to use (I have not yet tried this ink, but plan on doing so) I would imagine it is similar to painting with india inks. This was a really nice surprise since packaging was beautiful and the item arrived earlier than expected. Ink such as this Iroshizuku Yama Budo (Bordeaux) ink enables my hand to perform at its best. How can I compare it with something else? My next purchases will be Noodler's Heart of Darkness, Pelikan Violet, Private Reserve Orange Crush, Lamy Blue, and Lamy Turquoise. I also enjoy some of the others, but I will purchase I invite all fellow writeous writers to put pen to paper and to write on Stylophiles with hands on the keyboard! Please reserve your favorite enkauston and scribe your various wisdomes, witticisms, and wisecracks as well as your missives, elegies, haiku, and knockouts The doorbell rings. That color is my first time purchasing it. I would order it again if I could. The Yama Budo Bordeaux is a perfect match with my purple pens, and all of these inks will never let you down. A few others would be great to have as well. Have the deeper purple and black, and definitely want a few more to acquire. The ink bleeds after something like immediately writing with the pen after filling it. It's something I've noticed from experience. If you are going to write with your pen, you should let it sit for at least a few hours before using it. It is my belief that I have used different pens that cause the ink to coagulate and flow better. Although the bottle is relatively substantial, make sure that the cap is well secured or the contents can spill easily. It is no exaggeration to recommend these inks to anyone who uses.
I'm a big fan of Iroshizuko inks. However, the one I received leaked a bit, ruining the decorative tassel and causing the precious ink to run out Nonetheless, I can't wait to use the yamabudo up. It's a really vibrant and rich purple with a clear and vivid undertone. The other purple in their line, Shikibu, is very similar to the color In terms of ease of reading later, yamabudo is better when you choose between the two.

There have been reports that this ink is often mistaken for magenta, but it is actually burgundy in color. The burgundy is rich and complex. It's well worth the price to purchase Iroshizuku ink.
The reason I purchased this bottle over 5 years ago is because it's amazing. Every pen I put it in flows like a river, has vibrant colors, and looks beautiful regardless of the color. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great flow, vivid colors, and a wet nib.

The first color I get is usually a sample, and when I finish that sample, I'm ready to move on to the next. This color would make it impossible for me to do that. With every new piece of writing I did, I fell in love with it all over There is no way you can live without this color. In addition, the bottle it comes in is gorgeous.
