Melissa & Doug Child-Safe Scissors - Child-Friendly Scissors, Lefty and Righty, Set of 2

I bought the scissors because not letting her use them only seemed to encourage her curiosity. She finds them easy to use & they are a good fit for her It's fun to look at the shimmery colors! Now that she has her own scissors, she doesn't reach for mine anymore since they aren't as tempting. When I am teaching her to cut, I make the sound snip, snip, snip as I cut, and I also tell her that a snip is a snip. My observation is that these scissors are different from many other kids' scissors I have used (I am an Early Childhood Educator), since they make that fuzzy snip, snip, snip sound when they are used. A nice feature of the pack is that it comes with a child-friendly guide This is a safe version of pinking scissors. These scissors were tested by me before I gave them to my daughter, and they proved to be very effective The two women do not cut my skin, the hairs, or the clothes as Melissa & Regina promised Aside from that, the best thing about these scissors (more so than the more traditional straight-line cutting pair) is that they can cut through paper with ease. When it comes to cutting in my classroom, I can't tell you how many times I have to use ordinary safety scissors versus snipping, but end up regretting it because they tear versus cut. Thus far, I have not experienced that problem with these scissors.

The products produced by Melissa and Doug are usually of good quality No. 1. the scissors left a lot to be desired. It's so that my son can learn the basics of cutting. There are two and a half years between him and his third birthday. You are literally not going to be able to cut anything with them. My son is frustrated when he tries to use them because he can't get them to cut. I cannot even get them to cut as an adult. Unlike what I expected, it was not a learning experience for me. The good news is that they are super cute and have a good fit for little do not accomplish what they are supposed to.

This set of scissors will not save you any money. Then, if you receive them and they don't work, you will be unable to return them for a refund. It was important to me that my child have a pair of scissors small enough to fit into her hands. I purchased these scissors for that purpose. I mean, at least you don't have to use a straight razor to cut papers, but at least it doesn't tear them. It is impossible to use the zig zag scissors. The tips are not even flush with each other, so there is obviously no point in cutting when there is so much space between them. It is evident that they are defective and do not work, so I tried to return them, but Amazon says they are not eligible I was only out $3, so luckily. It's not too bad, but it is frustrating because it may have been the first time I have ever been unable to return anything to Amazon.

The first thing I want to say is Although the products were defective and I am unable to return them, Amazon does not allow I return them. (I need to contact customer service and update this review. ) This is the Zig-zag It seems like the zig zag scissors will collapse any minute because they were not assemble correctly and when you open them to cut the paper they become stuck and you cannot close them back up. The following is also true Three is the age of our son. His fingers are too long, even though he is quite tall for his age and has long hands. He is 5-years-old these are way too big for him. Is there a chance that they are OK for a five-year-old?.

They were bought as a gift for my daughter The scissors are used by the schooler as his first My rating for these is a 3 out of 5 due to the fact they aren't as good at cutting as they could be. I am having a hard time getting my child to learn how to use scissors since he/she hardly knows how to The only reason I gave them 4 stars was because my kid loves it and likes to cut Furthermore, their durability makes them a great choice. A child has tossed them, dropped them, moved them from a bin to another, but they are still in good condition. I would definitely recommend these in terms of quality, but these are below average in terms of tasks. Most of the time I recommend this as a way to teach children how to use scissors properly.

In that respect, these scissors are very good, however, it is very difficult for the child to hold them in a way that will allow them to cut paper correctly. In other words If you're looking for scissors to cut playthings, try these I had no idea these were so good. My first shopping trip yielded some powerful training scissors with metal blades that are a lot better for cutting.

He didn't know what scissors were at his 5 year check up, but he was wondering if he could use them at his 3 year check up. My fingers didn't cut when I tried to cut myself with them. This is the first time I have seen paper still being cut. With this type of supervision, I feel very safe letting my child use them. In addition, I am very pleased to find that they are much more durable than I had anticipated. The motion is almost down, he just needs to learn how to align the paper in the right spot The scissors are going between them!.

Most of the time, the blades do not even come together, and they are so dull that you just jam the paper together until it falls apart. I, as an adult, cannot get them to even cut most of the time. They are an endless source of meltdowns. Make sure you never cut a straight line with these - your kids are just going to scream and whine "it doesn't work" whenever you give them a chance to play.
