Questions & Answers

What kind of batteries do you need for it?

1XLR54 is a type of battery. It's powered by the sun (office lights are fine). I've had mine for 9 years and have had no problems with it (it's used frequently at work).

Is it possible to clear the screen for the next calculation once a calculation has been displayed?

Of course, you'd press the delete key. I'm not sure I understand what you're asking.

I add 5% to 20100 on my old calculator by typing 100, the key, the 5 key, and the % key to equal 105. Is the procedure used by this calculator the same?

Yes, that is correct.

Is there a retail package available for this item?

Yes, mine arrived in the manufacturer's box, which was itself packed in an Amazon shipping box, as I recall.

This calculator is the tried-and-true standard; there's nothing special or unique about it
5/5

It accomplishes its goals, has a functional design, and is the "right" size. br>THIS is the calculator I've been using at work for the past 15 years, and I've grown accustomed to its size and layout. that I can't seem to figure out with any other calculator br>Fast forward 15 years, and the one I was using at work had been smashed. This model is no longer available from the supplier where we get our supplies. After a few weeks of fumbling with others, I decided to purchase my own on Amazon. I've gotten back into the swing of things. br>I noticed a question about the model's battery size. This seems to me to be a question that should not be asked. This calculator runs on solar energy and has a backup battery. My previous calculator (the one that was smashed) had been running on the same battery for 15 years. The battery is probably half the price of the calculator, and even if you had to replace it every 15 years or so (which I doubt), it would still be cheaper. Simply buy a new one for yourself.

It gets the job done
4/5

I'm pleased with my decision; after only a week of use, it's performing admirably. I'm still getting used to the function keys being arranged slightly differently than on the 30-year-old model. a model who finally gave up after a year So far, no input errors have occurred as a result of touch. The only "Con" that bothers me is that the display does not show the final "0" (as in $22) on the display. It will appear as 22 in a calculation result if the number 40 is used. If you add (for example) 11, the result is the same. Plus ten to fifty The result will be 22 (no zeros) instead of 50. Because there is no control button or switch to change this, you must simply keep an eye on the decimal point. As keys are punched, the calculator "skates" around on a smooth surface, according to one reviewer. Due to only two small rubber feet on the underside of the front, this is an accurate observation. Using 3/8" rubber drawer bumpers with adhesive backs, I added rear rubber "feet" to solve this annoyance.

The best calculators are produced by Texas Instruments (TI)
5/5

I've been using the older model TI calculator for over ten years and have never had a problem. I purchased a Casio calculator about two months ago, assuming that the TI would soon stop working. When I used the Casio to do calculations, I kept getting different results. I decided to buy another calculator and go back to the same TI model calculator because I thought I was entering incorrect data every time. Of course, it appears to be newer and more up to date. The best part is that using this new TI calculator, I never had another problem with data entry or calculations, proving that it wasn't me. I also like how the buttons are recessed, which allows me to "feel" them more easily. I'm not sure why I didn't get a TI calculator right away.

Calculator in its most basic form
4/5

I purchased this calculator because I was in need of a basic calculator, which is exactly what it is. The only reason I gave it four stars is because the buttons are extremely sensitive, making it easy to enter the wrong number or a number twice; otherwise, it's fantastic. It's also quite large. It's suitable for use at a desk. The numbers are large, and the screen is adequate, but it is not small enough to be carried around in a pocket. You can take it with you, but it's a little too big for me to take to school or work every day.

It's perfect
5/5

It's a fantastic little calculator. I've bought a lot of different brands of these small calculators, and none of them seem to work quite right, and some of them are also more difficult to use. I like how the keys feel on the little guys, as well as how simple they are to use and store. It's solar-powered, which is nice, and it should last a long time; it was also reasonably priced, which is a plus! The numbers are legible and large. If I don't turn it off, it turns itself off after a certain amount of time; I don't use all of the functions it has, just the basic ones. If you buy it, I don't believe you'll be disappointed. I'm very pleased with my purchase, and I'm relieved to have finally found a useful small calculator.

Standard Function Calculator from Texas Instruments
5/5

After contacting their C/S to see if the battery could be replaced without too much difficulty, I decided to buy this particular brand of calculator. When the time came, I was confident that it would be simple to replace. When I unscrewed the back of a previous standard calculator (not this brand), the entire calculator disintegrated — electronics, keypads, and all! br>br>To access the battery housing, there is a small door on the back with one screw. The checkbook will be balanced with the help of this calculator. do some simple math addition and subtraction It'll be kept in a kitchen drawer alongside scissors, pens, and pencils. markers. It's big enough to stay in the drawer without getting lost. A woman carrying a large tote would have no trouble finding it in her bag. It's not the same size as a credit card.

Keys that are loose and floppy
3/5

I needed a simple desktop calculator with functional keys. These keys are very easy to rock from side to side and to press down with a light touch. I prefer a key that does not move unless you press it, and then gives you a distinct tactile sensation when it is activated. This aspect of the calculator's design has rendered it useless to me. Aside from that, it appears to be a well-designed product.

These solar-powered devices Calculators with batteries are still in use! I had to buy a new one because my old one began to act strangely, but the old one was so old that it made me think Richard Nixon was President
5/5

I'm a huge fan of taxes and tax-related issues. With a single button press, you can calculate a price including tax or a price without tax. The layout is very logical, easy to use, and the battery never runs out. The go- Users who do not require an adding machine with a paper tape can use this calculator.
