The CAS system takes care of the busywork, leaving me free to think
4/5

I am not a student, but rather an adult engineer. br>br>Like the CAS system for solving, simplifying, factoring, expanding, and other algebraic expressions. There's no need to convert matrices into systems of equations. There's no need to worry about making silly algebra mistakes, and the fact that expressions can be variables makes substitution a breeze. br>br>I used to be a TI-83+ user. 82 (It's still functional! ) so I was at ease, but I still needed to watch a few YouTube videos to get the gist of the documents and an overview of the features. Reading the manuals, watching videos, googling, and so on will gradually reveal the fun and power. br>br>I installed the software (the calculator comes with a license, but you must download it from TI's website), and I used it to upgrade the firmware to the latest version without issue, transfer files to and from the calculator, and the software emulates the calculator so you can use your computer for editing, screen sharing, and so on. br>br>The build quality appears to be good, though not as tough as my old TI-84 Plus. 82, which is built like a tank and has been through a lot of drops and abuse. For this one, I bought a padded case, which I don't believe is necessary for the older models.

It was well worth the money
5/5

This calculator is truly remarkable. For Introductory College Algebra, I was using a Ti 84, and the Ti Nspire Cx 2 CAS is light years ahead of the Ti 84. The calculator is simple to operate and can factor nearly any polynomial I throw at it. In my opinion, the Ti Nspire cx 2 CAS is a great calculator, and I strongly suggest it.

It is possible that you will receive an item that has been previously used
3/5

I required the calculator for a college course that I am currently enrolled in. It's difficult for me to get things where I'm at as a deployed soldier. Despite the fact that the calculator works, I was dissatisfied with the way it arrived. The calculator itself does not appear to be brand new, as the package and contents appeared to have been repackaged. In and of itself, the packaging was ripped and open. Is the product functional? br>br> yes. Is it a fresh idea? No. If I had known it was open, I would not have paid the amount I did. This vendor is not someone I would buy from again.

The most advanced calculator on the market
5/5

With a TI-83+, you can't go wrong. I've used the standard TI-83 Plus and Nspire. I used the Nspire CX at school for all four years of high school, so I'm used to it. But I felt it was time for a change, so I went with this option, and I have to say, it was the best investment I've ever made. This calculator saves me a lot of time as an engineering student because it has a built-in CAS that makes solving integrals and taking complicated derivatives a breeze. In comparison to the standard CX, the buttons (arguably) feel very nice to click and make a satisfying "clicking" sound, which I like. It has functions ranging from system solving to statistical data analysis, and you can even program your own functions with the TI-84 Plus. Basic. Overall, any college student taking high-level engineering classes should buy this book. It's worth noting that this (along with many other CAS calculators) isn't permitted on AP math exams. Graphing calculators are also not permitted in lower college math classes, as I'm sure you've heard (ex: Caloric intake (Cal 1, Cal 2, or even Cal 3) On the SAT and upper-division courses, however, it is permitted. At least in my experience, college engineering/science courses are at a high level.

It's very capable, but there are a few major bugs to work out
4/5

This is clearly a capable calculator, which is why it receives four stars, but there are two things that I can't believe made it through quality control. The first is that the calculator will rock back and forth when it is sitting on the table with its back in its sheath and you are typing. I have a cheap Ti-84 that I can use. This is not the case for 36. My friend purchased the calculator as well and is experiencing the same problem. Second, it only allows you to type extremely slowly before it stops recognizing the input, which, once again, is due to my dirt-cheap Ti-80 keyboard. This isn't an issue with 36, as it can handle much faster input speeds. Fundamental issues like this shouldn't be an issue for the money, especially since this isn't the first iteration. I'm also not a fan of the only color option being baby blue. There are no complaints in terms of math, but that is to be expected given that this is a top-tier calculator. It's also in 2019, so you'll need a higher-resolution screen.

This is the best calculator you'll find if you're studying Electrical Engineering
5/5

Do you want to know how to solve complex number matrices? It happens in a flash. br>Want to keep track of values as they change so you can use them in equations? "i_1:" is an example of a phrase that can be used. = ans" and your most recent value is now i_1br>Want to write a formula on the fly so you're less likely to make a mistake when repeating it on an exam? "x,y,z,p): coolFunctionName: coolFunctionName: coolFunctionName: coolFunctionName: coolFunctionName = (x^2 - (z(z 5/2*p)/(p*y/5)/(z(z 5/2*p)". Now all you have to do is type in "coolFunctionName(var1, var2, var3, var4)" for your four variables. The issue has been resolved. Parallel resistors are calculated using a function I wrote. This saves a lot of time when you have three parallel resistors. br>br>You can also type equations as if they were written on paper with this feature. To reduce entry errors, instead of having a string of variables and symbols, you can clearly read your equation. Spend less time balancing parenthesis and more time accomplishing your goals. br>br>It does a lot more than the TI-83 Plus. Problems are almost instantly solved. Because it operates differently than other TI calculators, there is a slight learning curve, but it is far more powerful and faster to use. Even some rudimentary differential equations will be easier to solve with this latest version. It allows me to concentrate on the material I'm learning rather than wasting time computing time-consuming equations that I mastered a year ago and that provide little learning value for the time spent. br>br>The programming language is a little more basic than I'd like, but it's extremely useful.

Calculator is fantastic
5/5

This calculator is currently being used in my Engineering Materials and Engineering Statics class. I have a TI-83 Plus that is a little older. A TI-89 that isn't the Titanium version and a TI-89 that isn't the Titanium version. 84 Plus. The TI- nSpire is significantly faster than the TI-83 Plus. I was primarily using the number 84. Once you've gotten used to the menu-driven color screen, it's much easier to navigate. Don't buy one the day before an exam because there is a steep learning curve. The ability to create cross products and dot products enticed me to purchase it. Once you get the hang of it, these tasks become second nature. There are a plethora of "how to" videos available to assist you.
