After a full charge, it kept going back to zero- Was working on stock prices and accidentally added when it should have been subtracting. This is just a manual calculator, so it would add when it should be subtracting. I don't see how it could possibly fail.
There was no "off" button, which I didn't like. It turns off after about 15 minutes with the battery in place. But why would you use a battery for something like that? It will work without a battery if there is light in the room, but it will not shut off as long as there is light. As a result, even if you aren't using it, it will remain on in this mode. I should've looked at the keyboard more closely; that feature isn't one of my favorites. I'd like one that you can switch on. No matter what mode it is in, it is turned off.
Because I, like many others, now work from home, I needed a cheap calculator to keep on my desk. This was exactly what I needed. It was on and working in extremely low light before I even put the battery in. It does, however, come with a battery in case you need to use it in the dark (in which case you'll have a hard time reading the display). It performs as expected, has large buttons, and is simple to operate. I like how it's slightly tilted up so it's easy to use and see.
When my old desk top calculator finally broke, I went to the big box store and bought what I thought would be a good replacement, but it was a dud. After reading the reviews on this one, I decided to take a chance and buy two. It has become my go-to calculator. When you use it, it does not wobble or slide. The buttons aren't stuck together, and the text is easy to read. Oh, and it uses double A batteries, which are easier to come by than the coin batteries. I just purchased two more in case the ones I already have fail.
The calculator fulfills the requirements of a general-purpose calculator admirably. It has a great display that is easy to read. Unlike the calculator it replaced, which was powered by expensive button batteries, this one runs on a standard AA battery. My only complaint is that when I turned off my old calculator, the number it had stored in memory remained. This new calculator, which I use at my home desk to keep track of bank balances, does not retain the number when power is turned off, which I find very annoying. It's convenient to keep track of the last balance.
It's a lot easier to use than having to constantly pull up the one on my computer, and I adore it! It has large numbers and keys, which is very convenient! It was extremely simple to use right out of the box. I haven't tried it out in the sun yet, but it seems to work well with the battery (at least, I think it does; I'm guessing it's because of the lighting in the room)! Also, the cost was very reasonable. This purchase has made me extremely happy! It comes highly recommended!.
I ordered the Deli calculator as well as a Casio calculator for a slightly higher price because our two Walmart calculators that I purchased two years ago both stopped working, and my wife and I needed new ones. We both preferred the Casio due to its slimmer profile, but I decided to keep this one because the AA battery replacement is inexpensive. The calculator worked fine, but I was frustrated that I couldn't turn it off because it shuts down after 5 or 10 minutes on its own. I began to use it, but soon discovered that I was repeatedly pressing the double zero key, which is located next to the single zero key. This was a show that had to be seen to be believed. As a result, I returned it and ordered a new Casio with a better layout and an on/off key. Even so, if those two factors don't bother you, the Deli is a good deal.
This one, on the other hand, is fantastic! Although it is still small in size, it is easy to read, press buttons, and has a comfortable touch keypad. I wish I had ordered two of these instead of that other impractical small calculator because the price is also good.
