This calculator is fantastic. As a hobby, I like to work with wood. Any woodworker knows that knowing a little geometry, such as rise over run, is the key to good fractions. For years, I had to convert fractions to decimals in order to use them on my calculator, then convert the decimal back to a fraction to use on my measuring tools. It is a time-consuming annoyance. One day, I came across a calculator app that allowed me to directly calculate fractions. That worked for a while, but using a phone as a calculator is inconvenient, the phone gets dusty, voiding the warranty, and I was still using paper to calculate angles. So I went on the internet to do some soul searching and found these. My 3 horsepower cabinet saw is right next to it. This is my personal favorite and one of my most frequently used shop tools. Being able to do everything on the calculator makes my time in the shop much more enjoyable, and it speeds up the completion of projects. I understand that these calculators have a wide range of applications, but I strongly advise any advanced woodworker to use them.

I was all set to fall in love with this calculator until I realized it didn't account for rafter tail length. Then I discovered that the 4067 model calculates total rafter length with the rafter tail included. This item was returned, and I plan to buy the 4067 model in the near future. Except for the fact that it does not calculate total rafter length, this calculator is extremely useful.

What I don't like about this order is that it was sold as a package that included two different units. I only got one, and I was told I'd be notified when the other one arrived. There has been no action so far. This isn't the Amazon of the world! I've given up hope of ever receiving the other unit, despite the fact that I contacted Amazon about the issue and was assured that it would be resolved. Even better, I was given a $5 credit. 00 gift for my next order of other items, as well as for the inconvenience. I am dissatisfied with the entire situation. Please look over my previous correspondence to confirm my claims.

Yes, the app is available for download. Then you'll be putting your phone in danger. An old-fashioned calculator has its merits. He was instrumental in the construction of our first hip roof. Math is not a problem! Because the unit does not come with a manual, the online manual is very useful.

I'd been putting off buying a construction calculator for a long time, but I finally decided I needed one for some more complicated calculations for a sloped site project that required converting civil elevations in feet to my own architectural drawings in feet and inches. Using this little guy rather than my iPhone calculator or even some of the apps has been so much easier.
